Sup guys, I'ma get straight to it. So this is my first attempt growing and everything is all good. Never even seen a cannabis plant let alone try and grow one. My baby girl is 45 days old today. 5 days under 12/12. She was looking so beautiful and vigorous. Still beautiful in my opinion. But I've became greedy and tied down, super cropped, and pruned the fuck out of her for tops and bug bud. And now I'ma little paranoid, wondering if she gonna recover. Please someone tell me she'll survive. Might have cut off 50- 75 leaves.

50-75 leaves ?!?!??? That is not LST, that is defoliation. A practice I would not recommend unless humidity and airflow is an issue and even the, not to this degree.

Those leaves are what convert energy and nutrients into simple sugars that you plant builds with.

Personally I would flip it back to a veg cycle and pray she recovers quickly.

Any training or manipulation should be done in moderation, a shock like that could seriously hinder your yield.

I know, I know. That's why I left the newest fan leaves under the developing ones. Quick question, if she starts moving upwards again does that mean she has recovered?

At this point I wouldn't be concerned with vertical growth, I would be concerned with replacement of the solar panels that are now missing. Over the next few days you should see new leaves start to grow out of the branch intersections. Get those leaves to a healthy size before flipping back to flowers and hope that it doesn't stretch in that time. If it does you might have height problems.

did you do this after you switched to 12/12? i always do topping trimming etc about a week before i want to switch to 12/12 so they have some time to recover during veg phase.

i agree with 1sttime. i'd put her back into veg mode and let her recover.

Tucking is a lot less stressful if you want/need to prune or trim so light can reach other portions of the plant. Just use some training wire.

She will probably survive. Thats alot of food and storage you took from her, imo it does more harm then good unless you have no airflow. As for as tying down, one top 1 " max every 48 hrs would be pushing it, but not to the point of no-return.

Alright guys thanks for the info, But I'm standing up for my girl on this. She's healthy and strong, and I know she can easily recover, unlike most people scronny plants. I believe in her. Really needed to hear someone's similar experience. Not theories based on the plants anatomy, or how plants grow. Because all plants are unique like mine. And I'm not looking for a natural grow obviously. F.y.i she perked back up in a few hours, and I think I'm a keep her in flower. Really do appreciate the comments though.

Only losers study botany. Intuition is usually best. Keep doing what you are doing. I've never seen a plant quite like yours. Whatever you want to hear, I am hear to say it.

The plant would have used the food reserves in those leaves towards the end of flowering, you just took away the food buffer it needed when it got hungriest..hope you know how to nute correctly to make up for it or your yields will be down from what they could have been..never cut off leaves unless they are diseased or more than 50% yellow/damaged

that's all you need is to believe...:wall:. All plants react in the same basic ways..learn about basic plant biology..there isn't anything unique about MJ. With an attitude like that..don't expect much help around here...

MJ really isn't unique and some of the best information and techniques in this forum, that many people utilize, come from old timers that -- wait for it -- studied botany and yes, read text books.

You say:

Never even seen a cannabis plant let alone try and grow one.
Then you come to a community of people who do grow, ask them if it will survive. Your responses from the community are fairly consistent and people attempt to assist you in correcting your haphazard attempt at (what I can only assume is increasing your yield). The methods you used can all be performed but it is not recommended all at once. Aside from defoliation, I would never recommend that unless there are circulation or humidity issues.

Most members of this community have multiple successful grows under their belts. This is because we strive to learn more to better our techniques. I admit, a Google search of cannabis growing techniques and you will need to wade through a lot of bullshit but if you understand how it something works you can better your methods.

After you are given consistent advice you basically say "screw you guys and science, you have no idea what MY plant is capable of"

Then you got hostile...

I personally will not offer up any advice to you in the future. Good luck.

Last note, maybe you should rename this thread, "Is this 2 grams"?

I wish everyone stfu already,
My baby girl took off like a rocket so I'm no longer concerned about your thoughts and opinions. F.y.i anyone who's giving info from what they learned from a text book is irrelevant to me because I guarantee you your just telling something I already know. But what I will never know is your first hand experience in a situation. That's what I was asking for if yall was listening. So if you can't give me that, then I don't need your help.

P.S my next thread will be called, " Harvest Day" so I'm gucci
