Hey, i am turning my closet into a grow room, i would give you the spec's for it if i had a measuring tape but i don't know where its at.

its big enough for me to stand in with a fair amount of space, i cant strech my arms out but a claustrophobic wouldn't freak out about it.

i don't want to mount lights in my closet because sooner or later im moving my grow room completely, so what type of lamp should i use?
what type of fan is silent so when i have people over they wont hear it,
also what is a cheap way to eliminate the odor of the plant/s.
providing pictures or links to a site to buy it from would give me a general idea

thanks

you need to do alot of reading before growing much less building anything.

anyway, CFL's and a regular desk fan will keep the air moving.
cheap way to remove odors of marijuana? dont grow, they all stink

It sounds like your only option because it being stealth and having such a small area to work with, you need to go with CFL. I think CFL is a waste of time if you want to grow some top quality meds. I would wait until you move to start your grow if you really want to grow some top notch meds.

realistically to grow some good herbs you need to at least have a 400 watt HPS/MH and some really good ventilation maybe even a AC unit to create those perfect conditions you need for thoe's baby's to thrive. Also in the meantime read the forms and see what others are using for nutes and testing equipment to get your gear together.

I would say to start buying all the equipment before you move, so you will be ready to go to work the day you move in.

fiji he gave you sound advice. no cheep way to do carbon filters. mj smells. If your only going to grow 1-2 plants get one of those really nasty auto air fresheners and turn it on when you have company or your choice of oziam spray. cfl's and any small fan will work for your closet.

na, Fijiwater.. there right to get respect, you need to give respect.

Growing is stressful as we all know just give it a bit more time for people to reply bro.

relax and be extra nice to the masters that are teaching the next generation.

I have to ask light, lamp you have your lihgts under control but want to know what lamp to use. I don' get it.

there is threads on here on how to make your own carbon filter but a small 1 for the size of room you described would be cheap. As a new bie I have found that if you want to grow successfukky and consistaintley then nothing is cheap, you can built a small grow box on a budget but to get a good yield I say the minimum would be £500 and 4 plants. This is my own personal opion I have been researching for about 4 months solid now and jusr started my own grow.
In your situation what I would do is set up a fan in the top of your box to vent the air out via ducting to a carbon filter, you could dump the air in the room the box is in and keep that room smelly with candles, air freshners etc. For this setup It would be better if you could vent in fresh air from another room or under the floor boards if you can.
On the lamp situation it is all down to what you can spend IMO a HPS multi spectrum would be a good option as it would do both jobs through the entire cycle and canbe bought for a fair price with the reflectors and hangers. you could rig the hangers on a rail in your box, making it easy to move.
I hope this helps
