hello RIU peeps! finally built my room and got my equipment but have never grown b4 or dealt with any of these pieces of equipment b4, im thinking maybe i shouldnt have attempted to put the puzzle together stoned. my first problem was with the can 50 carbon scrubber, do i need to screw the 6 inch flange on the the filter with the gasket between the two? the next was installing my hydrofarm socket in my cooled reflector. i didnt see anyway to mount it in there, are there only certain reflectors that go with that socket? anyway thx for any help and maybe when i get those solved ill ask the many more ?'s i have and i have lots :p

The flange should have come with self-tapping screws. They make their own hole so just grab a power tool and screw them in 6 equal spaces.

did it come with instructions? Can the old socket be removed? Put the new socket where the old one was maybe? What model is it?

Thats like someone saying "I got this car and I wanna use this tire I bought, how does it go on?" Did you buy the tire that fits the car or did you just buy any old tire?

your way to far down the line man.

you arent going to need that carbon scrubber for at least 3 weeks after sprouting, and unless you have ALOT of plants, you wont need it till week 2 of flowering.

they are not all interchangeble. But cheer up. The part you need is like 9 dollars at a hydro shop. I am thinking that you have a cord with a socket and you are trying to plug it into your Lumatek and it does not match up. This is a common prob. Bad hydro store for not telling you I guess. Go to tell them that prob or take back the hood and get one with the lumatek compatible socket. Most are but about 40 percent are not. Easy to fix. Also pick up some of those yo yo light hangers for 15 bucks. Make your life easier. Also if you are doing hydro get a tent. Or at least get some panda film on the floor, double seal it and put it up the walls. I say this as once again I spilled another res. It happens one way or another in ways no one can manage. Once again today I was thanking god for those double waterproof floors. Also search Craigs list for a true inline fan, 400 cfm for a 400 or under and bigger for a larger light, unless you are running too air way path circuits. One for the light with an in an out of the room and one for actual room exhaust. GL.

How do you plan to grow. May I suggest ebb and flow? It is quite the easy and efficient system for small or large grows.
