Help me pleasee..light problems

ok so i have a 3x5x8 space in my basement where i set up a wire rack and mounted my 400w hps from the seiling, i dont have any type of cooling for the lighting , but do have a fan on them and my basement is usually 60 some degrees. anyways i dont know why but when i placed a plant i had outside whos only a few weeks old under the light, a few hours later it looked major sad, droopy as hell, the light is exactly 28 inches above the plant, so ill post some pics later ton but any advice or ideas PLEASEE..thanks a lot

Arr dont get me wrong im no expert but im pritty sure bringing a plant from outside to inside will really shock your plant also id raise your light to thier maximum level for a day or two, to let your plant get used to the new enviroment then slowly lower it down to your desired level

Did you transplant this plant from outside to a pot you then brought inside.

If this is the case The plant probably is in shock, but should recover
