hey guys, Ive kinda narrowed my search down to these two options:
*I hope Im not breaking any rules by doing this

http://cgi.ebay.com/HYDROPONICS-GROW-TENT-SIZE-3-8-x-3-8-x-6-4-GROWTENT-/260573894579?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cab6a17b3#shId

http://cgi.ebay.com/HYDROPONICS-100-REFLECTIVE-4-X-4-X-7-GROW-TENT-BOX-/180500988645?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a06b282e5#ht_2433wt_1165

the first link SAYS their interior is lined with mylar, but it looks more like white plastic to me...
as for the size difference, I actually prefer the smaller one, for size efficiency. Im planning on this being my flower tent and hoping to harvest 3 plants every 4 wks.
Also, should I use a 600 or 1000w with this setup? What do you guys think?

I too looked at these grow tents last year. In my opinion u get what u pay for. I got a lot of negative feedback on these cheap ebay grow tents. Light leaks ect. I ended up spending a little more money and got the growlab 120. Just shy of 4x4x7. Think it was around 250$. It has windows, can support up to 100 pounds and has draw string openings so u don't have to use those ducting adaptors. 3 passive intakes also. I run a 400 watt hps cool tube and haven't noticed any light leaks. Just seach ebay for GL120 or growlab 120. I love mine and have heard good things on the growlabs. Best of luck dude. Just my 2cents

how big a plant do you want to grow and are you going to be using feminized seeds? your schedule means you'll have 6 female plants in flower at any given time so you have room for plants that are about 2.5 square feet in either tent. if you plan on using normal seeds you need more space than either tent provides or you need to stick to small strains.

lights - if you can cool a 1000 watt light it will give you excellent lighting for either tent. the 600 watt light would still give you a better than average light intensity.

well i ended up getting the 4x4 tent off ebay. it came in today. setup was difficult. their included instructions was 1 page, and 4 pictures. their instructions completely leaves out how to arrange the support wires at the top.

quick review:
pros: cheap

cons: unstable and poor quality. -when I was setting up the tent, the metal frame wouldnt even fit. I had to bore out the inside with my knife for each rod to fit with each other. after I had assembled the structure, I found out that the rods were of slightly different lengths, giving me this odd leaning tent. after assembling the frame, I wrapped the tent fabric around it only to find out it wouldnt zip around the corners, since the dimensions of the frame were too large for the fabric.

also, the support wires at the top are very weak and theres no way it would hold a light, carbon filter, and inline fan. now I need to find some way to reinforce this POS tent.
so right now I am very pissed off. of course, the ebay seller doesnt accept returns. I feel like I just threw away $150. sigh

EDIT: just realized that the metal poles at the top are LONGER than the metal poles used for the base by 2-3 inches.

seller sent wrong instructions initially with the package. they e-mailed me the correct instructions. Ill give it another shot sometime this weekend and post results

I got a tent from Ebay thats similar to that top one, except mine is a lil bit smaller (3x2x5), but I love it. It was cheap and gets the job done.. the assembly was a little difficult, but not too bad. It had a slight light leak where the zipper ends, but I attached a little velcro and fixed it myself. Overall, it was worth buying, IMO.

ok I installed it. everything zips up and the dimensions are correct.
still, the frame seems pretty weak. the support beams that were included that go across the top of the tent, are meant to hold fixtures such as a light, filter, fan, etc. too bad the support beams are also very weak, and seem like they would max out at 10-15lbs.
anyone have any suggestions or work around for this issue? I was thinking of just buying an adjustable metal shower rod, and duct taping it from one side to the other and hanging everything from that
