Help!!!! Maximizing Light in space, PLZ HELP! (Pics)

Ok so here is my room, its a 2x4x7 (Pic below). I just got myself a 30inch Cooltube for 2 bulbs. Currently I am using a 400W CMH, my option for the second bulb is a 1000W HPS, or another 400W CMH. The purpose of getting the 2 bulb cool tube is to remove my 432W T5 side light. I love full spectrum, but I love more yield more....

I am using currently a TD-150 Inline fan with 212cfm, and when I move in the new reflector I am upgrading to a 440cfm Vortex inline fan, for double the exhaust.

So how much of a temperature change will I see adding the 1000W HPS with my current 400W CMH? As it stands the room will not get above 80F. My goal is to get as close to 10,000 lumen per sq ft (Yes I am aware lumen is OUR measurement of the light, not whats usable by the plant).

If 1000W HPS is suggested, would I be better off using a gently used 1000W Hortilux, or a 1000W Sun master super High output HPS bulb?

Any feedback is welcome! Especially idea's to improve my floor situation, but finding a cheap non DIY platform to raise them off the ground is a whole can of worms in itself.

Thanks in advance!

you could go with a 1000 but that is way overkill not that thats bad. but it will be hard to cool. so a 2 400 would be the smartest thing imo. hps gives alot more lumens per watt then mh so thats something to think about also, 400w hps = 55,000 lumens 400w mh is like 38,000

god no..go with the 400w hps. its enough for ur room with ur other light..it makes a lot of heat but you need the hps in flowering period.the newest gib hps gives away 58000 lumen. more than enough for 6-8 BIG plants.. happy farming bro.. you dont want that 1000w monster believe me...

from the limited information i have found so far on the forums, the CMH 400W is better than MH for veg, and HPS for flower. It emits a spectrum much closer than either do, yes the other lamps peak higher in one or two area's but the CMH is my option for both cycles, unless I can fit a 1000W HPS in there with the full spectrum CMH. The vortex exhaust i just got is pretty freaking strong, gotta get noise reduction ducting.

I suck at explaining things, but I find pictures help here is a link to a little information on the CMH. http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=72215

So my options are HPS 1000W for 2nd or another 400W CMH

the only overkill you guys are talking about here is the fan. i run a 1k and a 400 both hps in a 4x8 tent and the only fan i use is a 4" 175 cfm. it pulls through both hoods (one of the hoods is bigger then 2x3ft) and carbon filter more then well enough. i used to run a 400 watt in a 2x4 tent and it was enough but 1k would have been much better. i cant comment on the whole two bulbed hood, i never seen that before.

Well, the CMH Phillips has made is also called the Retro White High pressure sodium, although I have access to a HPS with the light that appears orange, is it really better than the CMH? I hear full spectrum is important for resin production. Also these babies run way cooler than MH, and HPS.

Here is some more info on CMH from this website! https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/283545-ceramic-metal-halide-cmh-thread-5.html

The 6 Inch fan is rated for 449 CFM http://www.maxgrower.com/vortex-6-inch-powerfan-4496449.html . With it and a new 12inch fan at the top of the room blowing air down, I should not encounter any heat issues.

Thanks for all the help! I guess I will go with the two 400W CMH and see how the temperatures change!

Well rzza, overkill on my exhaust is a must! I suck at installing doors and the room is not sealed (Besides the intake and exhaust) so Duct tape can stop light leaks, but not the smell... At the end of my exhaust is the almighty carbon filter. Also I know for a fact some of the seeds I marked as unknown, are AK-47. From what I hear that one is super stinky! Then again I do not need one yet about 2 weeks into it.

Why do I insist on "Excessive" measures? I am an outdoor gardening enthusiast, and want to come as close to mimicking the sun as possible! I don't mind going the extra mile for it. Before I found this dual bulb fixture I was going to use a light mover for 8 inch movement side to side.

I wish I could KISS :(
