I suspect overwatering...of course, more light isn't gonna hurt...but seedling NEED to dry out somewhat between waterings...makes the roots seek...

I'm positive your soil is too hot. you'd really have to try to overwater a seedling. they shouldn't really need much light but more can't hurt, they will just stretch out if they don't get light-not turn yellow.

Dirt as nutes in it, maybe the mix you are using (miracle grow dirt) has nutes mixed in. What are you using? ..JR

just because it is organic doesn't mean its inert, in fact its quite the opposite. look at the bag it came in, it will probably say "feed for three months" or it will have 12-6-6 on it or something like that because it does have nutes in it. when popping seeds you want a very very mild medium to have them grow in. seedlings do not need any food for at least the first week of their lives.

I'm not trying to make you look like an idiot, you seem to be doing it just fine by yourself. Soil has nutrients in it whether it be chemical or all natural. When popping seeds it is good to use a medium that has little to no nutritional value. tap water has plenty of nutes in it alone for seedlings, they don't need to be feeding from the soil.
