IMG00473.jpgIMG00481.jpgIMG00480.jpgIMG00476.jpgIMG00479.jpgIMG00475.jpgIMG00477.jpgThis is my first hydro grow. I lost 18/20 high dollar seeds and have this 1 Super Lemon Haze left.

Indoors,
PH 5.7-6.5. It goes up everyday and I have to bring it down to range.
1000W MH
day temps 70-76 night temps 66-69
Humboldt 3 part, grow, micro, bloom, sea cal, prozyme, flavorful, white widow all at 3/4 strenght for 1-2 week veg.
Its in a coffee can with a massive air pump and good air stone. I change the water every 5-7 days with fresh nutes. Plant in hydroton.

The tips on the top new growth and going down a few nodes to where it all started were white, now turning yellow. Just the tips only, nothing on the sides.

Some of the leaves are starting to curl a little on the edges. Like the bumpy sharp blades on the leaves are curling up and down and looking a little mutated. Some minor brown spots at the lower portion of the plant.

Please check out the pics and make some suggestions.

I have look at all the deficient links and plant problems , trust me, and my symptoms seem to mirror several different problems.

I dont know much about hydro, so can't help there... however, I have a couple SLH myself and they dont look like urs. SLH is supposed to be more sativa, so it has narrower leaves. Urs look like mostly indica with those wide leaves. here is a pic of one of my SLH clones and of the momma who is 6' tall and 4' diameter!
IM000279.jpgIM000280.jpg One of us doesn't have SLH. If anyone can tell us who it is....please post an answer. Thanks

And actually, there r 2 SLH mommas in the 2nd pic. Both same size.

Crop circle,

I got my seeds from Attitude and they came in a breeder pack that was factory sealed and I had to pop each seed out.

Also, my plant is belive it or not almost 2 months old. It was very sick for the first month and really slow growth until I got my nutes then BUSHY BUSHY.

Also, I read that they grow alot bigger outside. Someone on here said that they think I have a pheno type because its so short and bushy with a million top shutes on her.
Either way, do you think you can help diagnose my problem Im having??? Thanks a lot

ANYONE OUT THERE!!! REP

I put the Super lemon haze in a larger 2 gallon jug with massive air flow bubble action, 2 day old tap water thats 300ppm and 150ppm of nutes and 1 drop of superthrive.
I think the reason for the dis-coloration is because the roots of this little girl are matted up on the bottom of this little red coffee container. There is always sediment down there, brownish in color,
and the roots are growing in the sediment. THAT CANT BE GOOD ONE DAMN BIT.

im not a hydro grower but i think 6.5 is a high PH for hydro. i think it needs to be around 5.5 but i know it's lower than 6.0

Sounds like it's the beginning of nute burn.

I would flush things out and see what happens from there.

As for the lower leaves, that sometimes just happens as you grow. The plant doesn't need the lower leaves anymore, so they start to die off...

Sure, plants grow better outside because that's where they're SUPPOSED to grow. At the same time, you will be able to control the results you get when you use a lot more chemicals.

I mean, when you amp up Mother Nature, you are going to see better results.

But to me, it sounds like you're using too many nutes - no good.

I've found that using Advanced Nutrients helps me avoid nute burn. All you have to do is follow their instructions (using a little less is a good idea, actually) and you will see awesome growth in hydro especially.

Right now, I'm using the Hobbyist bundle:

Sensi A&B
Voodoo Juice
B-52
Big Bud
Overdrive
Bud Candy

Works like a charm....

I looked at those. Im gonna go with those next time. I bought the humboldt because I though if they are named after humboldt county ca, then shit they must be the best. Everything that I have read inline says AN is the shit.

Over nute causing tips to burn and mg defic on lower showing as brown spots, so a good flush with 1/4 nuts to get rid of buildup when soil is dry.

Glass pipes,

Yeah I agree. When I saw the roots hanging in the sediment, I got a 2-2 1/2 gallon jug. I duct taped the new jug to keep all the light out.
I have another plant that is in a red coffee container also. The roots are not hanging in the water yet, so I should have another week or so to move it.
They are both in my flower room. Im waiting to get some money so I can build my aero veg unit like stink bud. I need to get that damn 60$ timer for 1 min on and 5 min off.
Yeah, I think I am chalking this problem up as:
too small a container, not light proof and too high nutes. I put some tap in 300ppm and 150ppm of nutes. Lets see how this does. I would hate to flush and lose a week if I dont have to, so hopefully by tuning down the nutes, it will help and didnt lockout.

Juicy fruit. the micro that Im feeding has the MG in it and Im feeding Sea-Cal and my micro has more calcium also.

All those damn nutes Im feeding, there is no way there can be a deficiency of anything right?
Grow, micro, bloom, seacal, prozyme, flavorful, white widow and now tap water on top of that with trace elements.

Any comments on this?

Hey motherhugger,

Is your Advanced nutrients, really PH stable? Do you ever have to adjust the PH? It says the ppm stableized also? Does that mean, you put in what the directions say and the ppm lowers or increases on its own? Please explain. thanks

Motherhugger, what did you pay for your Advanced nutrients hobbyist bundle? I was looking online, that shit is expensive!!! Damn

I think my plant is looking better after putting in a larger hydro container, light proofing the container, and cutting back on the nutes. Here are some new pictures. I also pruned about 5 large fan leaves off so the bottom shutes will get more light.

Mother hugger,

How much did all those nutes run you? AN is super expensive, but it seems to be the best out there right now.

Did you check your PH and see if the nutrients really maintains a healthy ph?
