Help! I’m stuck to my bubble hash!

I’m trying to micro plane my frozen bubble hash. Tried to re-freeze the hash & micro planer as I went, but as the photo shows, it’s a losing battle. The hash is in sticky pieces that can’t be planed … too small. And all over my fingers.
The hash is too sticky to break up.
the hash on my fingers seems permanent . I tried rolling it off…. Not much luck.
I need help FAST, please.

I wanted to save some. The photo didn’t show it all. There was A LOT on the fingers that didn't get shown. I took the photos with my phone, trying not to get the hash all over it . It was an exercise in futility. Otherwise, I would have just used alcohol .
….. I used the alcohol. Gave up. There was almost a pipe load on there. This was my fourth batch of bubble hash, and I have screwed up one way or another with the drying each time. I’ll keep trying to find a way that works for me. May give up on pu it in the freezer first. I dunno. At least I have about a month until the next batch to do more research.

You know, I really have a brain somewhere ….wait..;; teflon???? I have worn disposable nitril and vinyl gloves, but haven’t heard of teflon. I’ll have to look that up. I did wear the vinyl gloves and they shredded on the micro planer.

Seems too fresh to plane. Did you dry it before freezing?
Is it bubble from cured stuff or fresh?

This batch was cured (actually last year’s). Last batch was fresh frozen. When we made it, we squished the water out with paper towels. It made the flattened, frozen stuff really hard to plane. It was in the freezer for 3 days (the video or thread-don’t remember..said 24-48 hours).
I’ve got to figure this out. I was previously making ISO hash, but it’s in such small batches, I was making it twice a week. I smoke .35 gms every night to sleep all night due to so much pain, etc. So, ISO at 1gm each run doesn’t last long. I bought larger stuff to make a double run, but I think the permanent coffee filter was ‘bad’, and a lot of junk came through. I didn’t get nearly as much oil as usual. So, next time, I think I’ll use a permanent cone filter. I think a double batch will fit through it. I keep it on hand when I run out of bubble. (I don’t remember to make it in time for drying).

Agree with getting a press....
Personally have a press as I love my rosin but for good, deep, pain free sleep I make RSO and put it into capsules for easy and accurate dosing. I sleep like a damn baby.

I’m not ready to do it with a press yet….don’t know why, but too many things going on already.

I like the idea of capsules, and have been toying with the idea as I have COPD. I just got a Volcano, though, and after using one for smoking bud, I’m considering it for bubble hash. It says it can be used for concentrates. I just got it today, so need to read the instructions. Used one Thanksgiving at my sister’s and didn’t cough at all. It’s SO smooth you can hardly tell there’s any smoke at all. Costly, but worth it. I also got $120 off with ‘Black Friday’ deal. :D

But, is RSO butane? Excuse my lack of knowledge today. If it is, it’s too dangerous for me at this time. I’m a little scatterbrained from an illness….the weed doesn’t make me any more sharp, either :p.

I’ve just got to get the bubble hash ‘down’. We’ve got it (I think) right until the drying. I’ve read posts on different forums and looked at countless videos. Getting more confused by the day :wall:, but I won’t give up :).

No butane involved in RSO. Just as you used ISO to make hash prior but you would use Everclear. I prefer to decarb buds prior to making the oil. After I finish I put the oil in a syringe and begin making my capsules... I stick to about 100 mg per but play around and find your dose. I will say, be careful finding the upper end of your dose "spectrum" ... when I personally take more than 150 mg I often wake in the middle of the night almost in a panic and have to remind myself that I going to be fine but that's me.

OH! That’s how I make my tincture for nausea.

How much to you reduce it? I reduce it by half for tincture. For the ISO hash I reduce it by half, then down to ’nothing’ to hash. I don’t know what percentage that would be. Doing this that way would be easier than a whole day of making bubble hash, decarbing it and then putting it in capsules, which is what I was going to do…..But, that would make more….? I am curious, though.
