Hey guys,

I'm a first time grower,

I currently have 1 plant, it's been in veg for about 50 days, about 11" tall
I've never had any bug problems prior to this.

So, I finally got around to doing a much needed transplant, bought a new 4-5 gallon pot, used the same bag of soil to replant as I did to plant.

I washed & sterilized the original pot, but wasn't that careful with the second one.

After transplanting, I watered & left on a 24 hr schedule.
Came back to check I. It about 6 hours later, the pot outer edges and some parts of the soil were covered with Little white bugs which seem to only crawl,
I checked the underside of ALL leaves, there was no bugs there, and I've never seen any there.

But when I came back in to check on them, I did notice some of the leaves close to the bottom were yellowin and had brown spots.

I thougt they might be spider mites, but don't have magnifying glass to check if they have the 2 spots on em.
I've tried alot of the recipes on the site for getting rid of them, but I'm not a 100% of what they are, any ideas on how I can identify this annoying pest and what's best to get rid of them?

Get some liquid seaweed, mix according to direction & spray/drench the plant with it. Do this every 5 to 7 days. Make sure there is no direct lite on the sprayed plant for at least 2 hours. This will take care of the pest, and feed your plant also.

I doubt liquid seaweed alone will do the trick. I use a 50/50 mix of 91% rubbing alcohol and water sprayed once a day for three days in a row. You can use this up to 1 day before harvest. If you have a month or more before harvest get a pyrethium bomb and nuke the entire room to eliminate them completely. Good luck, sider mites are a growers worst enemy!

Use neem oil (You have to add a wetting agent to it, or dish washing soap with no antibiotics) Make sure you rise your lights when spraying the neem oil to the foliage and temps are around 20-24C or you will suffocate your plants.Wait about 6 hrs before lowering the lights again.Check your regular room temp aswell, mites usually appear when the temp is high, like over 30C. Also if you cant find any neem oil, get a spray bottle and add some water and throw some ice cubes in it and spay your plants, mites hate cold temps. hope this helps you.
