Help! has anyone used PYRETHIUM BUG BOMBS??

Hey, my question is this: Has anyone used the pyrethium bombs? It says I need neoprene jump suits and all this shit. IT also covers about 3000 feet, do I need to leave the whole house for 12 hrs. and what do I do when I get back? just open the windows? turn on the fan? also how do I know that this will kill the bugs in the soil near the roots, fungus gnats are a bitch and I have never had them before. Neem oil works but only for a couple minutes. HELP! my girls have never looked so dead.

try a root soak for gnats...its very effective

pyrethrins are an organic solution to many bug problems. this isn't a long lasting chem, but helps if you have never used pyrethrins or permethrins....

i would suggest using a fogger first, then applying neem oil to the plants and top of soil to kill the rest. neem every other day, four times. your problem should be eliminated

i have used them extensively since they were created. five homes in four states even

it is ok to leave without going through the venting process (the chems will eventually condense and fall like dew, and dry again), but, it is VERY IMPORTANT that you have no fans or other rotor electric devices running, as the aerosol of the can is highly flammable. it's best to have hid's off, fans off, and anything else that could be a fire hazzard turned off when using. allow proper time, and then turn components back on.

so yes it is safe, but only if you take proper precautions

Stop watering. Place raw potato slices on your soils surface. Leave a while. Lift. IF indeed these are fungus gnats, the slice will be infested w/the larvae. Toss in the toilet, then replace fresh slice.
When the slices come up clean twice, they're gone.
Your watering practices need tuning. These are the result of not letting the surface dry out enough between waterings.

They have a 5 day lifespan. When trying to stop infestation, try not to water until no adults are flitting about. As you undoubtedly know, they lay eggs in the wet soil.

it seems that my plants are not absorbing the nutrients. I try to keep the soil dry, but they look like they have Mg deficiencies. what could cause this? I feel like I am usung too much fert. well more than the last grow. seems the gnats came with the soil.

Common mistake throwing water and nutes at unknown issues. Usually does more harm than good. I'm guessing we've all done it, in desperation.

I was thinkin' the other night and realized that weed plants, no matter their physical condition, somehow always put out some buds (if they survive into 12/12) I've had sick plants in veg (mostly just yellowing) deteriorate in 12/12, but the buds still come and are fine? Not the biggest, of course, but same strength, or better. That's amazing!

I don't know that it was worth the effort. I did manage to kill MeanWoman Fishy's 4 year-old pet fish, Roger, though. If you have fish and wanna use one of these things, and don't wanna kill your fish, you have to take more steps than simply covering it's bowl. We set ours off well away from the living area (in the cellar) 100' away. I'd remove the fish from the house for many hours.

Just Wanted to give an update. The Pyrethium is an awesome product. Just KILLER> in fact it killed everything. I am so happy. I am going to wait 1 week spray, wait a week the throw them into bud; thanks for all yer help. I appreciate you guys.

those foggers work well... just beware they will increase the temp of your grow room... and will leave a spot of yellow-orange goop on your ceiling if it gets too close.
