HELP!! HANDS EXPOSED TO MY CHEMICALS DURING FLOWER!! BAD REACTION

I fucked up. Thats why im posting this in the newbie thread because I probably deserve it but I made the stupidest mistake of grabbing my bubblers out of buckets WITHOUT my gloves on. Its been about 2 weeks since I had started to get a peeling on my hands and now my fingetips are getting extremely pruney and redish black. Im on the verge of scheduling a doctors appointment. Any advice greatly appreciated. Anyone ever experienced this?

Come clean to doc ... Tell them you were mixing fertilizer ( chemicals ) for the " garden ".
Sounds like chemical burns .... Been there , done that. Had some gas spill on my shoe , working on my vw beetle and within a week skin peeled of instep ... Sucked big time.

i would get it checked out. dont take any of our words for it and none of us can diagnose your issue. could be something could be nothing. better safe than sorry when it comes to your health. schedule an appointment and get it behind you and learn from your mistake.

although...wtf kind of nutes are you running that would do that? i don't stick my hands in my nutes on purpose, and i wash my hands when i get done watering, but none of what's ever splashed on me has done anything like that...done anything at all, really

aside from fingertip burns from poor handling of Ph down, I have never even heard of such a thing..

You are looking at a reaction bro... allergic/chemical reaction you are susceptible to....

I been using AN but as it runs out I may switch off to megacrop... got a free bag in a giveaway on here, and its pretty fucking amazing... all in one, one for all dry nutes, mix to desired strength, its pre-Ph chelated and includes the damn calmag...

Definitely consider changing nutes, or even going organic..... anything but keeping the nutes that can eat your skin.....

Yeah.. I guess I was hoping for an easy answer but im scheduling an appt with my doc. No trouble. I was using general hydro flora series, big bud, & overdrive. But no big thing. Might be something simple. Ill just learn from my stupidity. Thanks folks!

My guess would be H2O2 but your plants wouldn't like it that strong either.

i use 29% h2o2, it bleaches your skin if you get it on you, looks like you got powdered sugar on your fingers. it also starts to burn after a minute or two, doesn't take long to figure out you got it on you. washes off easy enough, but you'd have to be pretty fucked up not to notice it immediately

I used to mix my nute bucket with my arm upto my elbow and just wash after.

Now I use a ppm probe to mix. But man I spill nutes on my feet, my head the other day. Lol

I'm using the full canna coco line but hey I've tried lots and never had any reaction , ever.

Weird, it might be an allergy or your using things that are at the far end of theph scale and probably a corrosive alkaline or acid product or solution.

Mine usually sits around 6ph.

Are you experiencing and hives ? Have you tried benedryl?

PS please just goto the doctor . But keep us informed so we can all learn please.

I mean I’ve had ph down splash on my hands before and simply washed them they didn’t peel or turn black or anything? I’m with shrubber though what the hell are you using lol.

Battery acid is not a good substitute for ph down lol.

Who wears gloves to grab a bubbler? Huh? This thread makes no sense.

And just think,.... you have your plants exposed to that at their root level.

I also want to know what you're running in that reservoir. I've been sticking my hand/arm in reservoirs of nute solution for years and have never had any reaction at all. I just rinse my hand/arm off under the faucet and forget about it. Did you not rinse off afterwards? I could see having a reaction if you allowed it to dry on your skin. The only time I ever had anything of concern was after getting straight phosphoric acid/PH down on my fingers.

Are you sure there isn't something else health wise going on? If you're experiencing the symptoms you described you should have been to the doctor yesterday.

Don’t mean to be an ass but the reason your fingers are turning black isn’t because you stuck your hand into some water with nutrients in it

Me thinks that hand went in some other wee places.

Bottom line when any part of your body starts turning black when that is not your natural color... go to a gd doc
