Ive noticed an off smell with the run off from my plants and also at the bottom of my pots.. I thought it might be pythium because the very tips of the roots at bottom of pot look a light brown colour so I've actually taken the pots off an the smell decreased straight away an all the roots are white apart from the tips at bottom that come out the holes of the pot..today I can't even smell anything..could this just be stagnant water thats been sitting at bottom of the pot?I do know that pythium caùses stunted growth..so here's a 4 day difference with my plants..are they stunted?
HELP does anyone know what might be wrong with my plants??

too much water too often. put drain holes in your pot bottoms.
when dirt is dry pour a quart of water in a pot, watch for drainage, if there is any reduce the amount a little next time.
Do NOT water again until the dirt at the bottom of the pot is dry/or plant wilts. you can tip the pot finger the drain hole whatever.
you shouldnt leave a dirt pot sitting in water, the rootzone goes anaerobic and bad bacterium flourish. you smell the rotten roots and bacterial activity, soon dead plants if bad habits are not corrected.

Cheers mate yeah it's definatly too much water too often I've reduced it now to get 500ml every other day because of growing in coco..letting it dry out for about 3 days first though

oh shit, coco, I missed that. ignore everything I said until you tire of it and buy some happy frog/promix/sunshine. except the part about leaving the pot to sit in the water pan, that sticks.
sorry for your coco woes, seems to be a learning curve with it, then ego takes over and you get good after suffering losses I guess.

Cheers mate these ones should be okay now though shouldn't they now I've cut the waterings down..the look even healthier in real life
