ok, so i got lucky today, i was pulled for a random test today for this new job that i just got, but i was tottaly honest to my boss witch turned out being cool cuz my boss is cool and kept me busy till the time i left so i have 2 days to sober up or what ever...and i love the job , and i need it too, so i HAVE to pass this test on monday. plz plz help me out, what do i do? has anyone passed a swab test? ..... plz help.

Saliva tests are the easiest test to pass dude. Personally I wouldn't buy anything, don't do anything, just don't smoke weed for the next two days if you want. Swab tests lose a majority of their accuracy after 2 hours of finishing smoking (something like 80%). By 24 hours you should easily pass, by 2 days their is no way it could detect shit.

The reason why saliva/ mouth swab tests aren't very accurate is due to 3 reasons.

First your mouth is one of the fastest healing area on your body. It's constantly shedding skin.

Second the mouth is constantly producing saliva. This makes it a very diluted solution (nothing really concentrates in it).

Third (this is the most important reason) THC doesn't really 'stick" well to saliva, so by saliva's very nature it doesn't have a large threshold of THC in it. THC is more than happy though to make home in your fat cells. That's where most of it hangs out.

Also you may or may not believe me, but my friend is a professional chemist. The company he works for makes a lot of the chemicals and various things that go into drug tests. He's seen various test data on swab test accuracy and he's told me all the info I've listed above. Also norml backs up these claims and so do a lot of scientific studies.

a drop off the strongest lemon juice you can find..... ive heard that the acid destroys the alkaline compounds that give positives for thc in swab saliva tests. ive only heard it though, and never tried it. personally id go to the local head shop and tell them what the deal is... they can point you to the right product as long as you word things carefully. never say 'i want to cheat a drug test' instead say something clever (but dumb sounding) like- "i have a reason i need to emergency detox... whats the best way to do this?"
drug tests suck.

no one needs to test my drugs, they work just fine :))

thanks alot guys i been googling my ass off, some confusing details i found, i read that thc stays in your saliva for months even if u havint smoked, but i also read that thc only stays in your saliva for 1-3 days......witch is true?? and yes i will avoid smoking for the test, just needed some help cuz im sure everyone here smokes .lol and so maybe someone here has been in my shoes and passed and i need to kno what to do for a better chance of passing.

As I said my buddy is a chemist who makes these tests. He says they are only accurate for up to two hours. Anything after that will give very mixed results. Sometimes positive and sometimes negative.

Yes THC will be in your salvia but it will be in such trace amounts that it will be undetectable and at normal human thresholds. Your body produces tons of chemicals that are similar to THC. When tested it just gets grouped into those normal levels of those chemicals.

I'm telling you man you have nothing to worry about after 24 hours let alone 48. I will say my buddy says if you don't want to get caught just don't smoke the night before you work. Fridays and saturdays are the only days he smokes and he gets randomly drug tested once a month he has yet to get a positive result back.

Maybe I need to give salvia a try. :mrgreen: j/k, great info.

Seriously though, there is lots of good stuff here. There is no need to spend money on any detox stuff. Just don't smoke for the next two days.

As most have said, saliva tests only show very recent use. I had a family member pass one about 4 hours after smoking.

Insurance obligations usually. Also a lot of union jobs are swab only. Most union reps fight hard to not have employers do the pee test for the reasons I stated above (it's hard to pass). Also with the cheek test you get the results in a matter of mins. Urine tests are way more accurate, cost more, and take longer to get (upwards of 24 hours and if someone fails they get a second retest usually so you're looking at 48 hours of waiting time). For these reasons alone companies choose the swab test. I really have no reason to lie to the people on this board. I'm a smoker myself and I'm just trying to help out a fellow smoker out.

Cheek tests are more fair IMO. Really the only people that get busted by cheek tests are those using and WORKING at the same timeframe. I think thats a lot more fair than busting people for smoking two weeks ago or a few nights ago. Seriously if you don't believe what I've said check on the norml website or look up a check swab manufactures website. They'll list their scientific accuracy in scientific terms.
