Help choosing a Grow Room Package

First package only seems to include a duct booster fan instead of an inline.

I would upgrade that to the 400CFM fan that's in package 2 along with the 6" fresh filter then choose package 1.


IMO package 1 needs that 6" fan and filter from package 2 otherwise you'll be spending again as you will find the temp increases too much for a booster fan to work well.

Just my opinion though.

I used to use a 440CFM fan on 600w connected an AC hood and then a second fan with filter to scrub the air. My temps were perfect.



I now use a 300CFM fan with CAN filter in an open reflector with a 400w.


If its too much for your area when you get it, it can always be dialed down using a speed controller.

Okay, thank you for your excellent advice, and for being the only one to take the time to answer my question and help me out... I didn't really have a full understanding of the functionality of the inline duck fan, or that the booster would be inefficiency, until you pointed it out to me, so thanks again. I have made changes to my to my shopping list, so please take another look. Let me know if I'm missing anything.

Just do some reading about the speedster duct fan adjuster.

I'm assuming this is to control the speed of the fan?

You need to make sure you get a speed controller that utilises a VARIAC otherwise you will get a loud humming noise from the fan.
