Haven't grown it, but being an indica it's probably a good starter plant. Being your first grow you'll want a plant short in stature and fast finishing... if this is in the description of your desired strain I say go with it.

growone also brings up a good point, my first grow was a skunk and I never thought about odor at all. Sure enough my whole house smelt good to me but"weird" to my visitors and I had to invest extra money I didn't have in order conrtol

ya im not really that worried about the smell i have some smell nuetralizers, plus nobody really comes over to my house.....like would it smell up a 1500 square foot house if i only grew like 2-4 plants, in my closet in a room farthest from the front door?

Absolutely 2-4 plants can smell up your whole house, possibly even smell it outside. If you don't want your house to stink and you don't have charcol or ozone odor control, get some type of northern lights. NL #5 is supposed to be a fantastic high a d very low odor.

from some accounts, aurora indica can smell up your house with 1 plant
odor neutralizers are helpless with these kinds of odor
and all it takes is 1 wrong visitor to make for a very bad day
like quietgardener mentions, nl#5 is low odor and good quality, there are other low odor strains

From what I have read if dont want to mess around with photo periods etc just try a Auto Flower fem strain. Leave lights on, water and nutes when needed and your on your way. Plus strains like LR#2 etc have lower odor so could be better for you. I may get slated for suggesting auto strains but just my opinion and works well with me as a begginner.

Nothing wrong with autos if you can't control the photoperiod. It's a good option. You'll sacrifice yeild and potency compared to the best photoperiod plants, but decent smoke quickly is sometimes more important. For me, my odor control and security enclosure makes it easy to manage photoperiod and I like to be able to grow anything that catches my interest.

IMO it has been proven that you get the same potency from certain strains of auto's compared to regular strains. Depends what you pick. Depending on your space also you have chances of great yields with perfect conditions and room. I use a PC grow so yes I knew I would be sacrificing a bit of yield. Obviously if you can control your photoperiods it is a lot better but they are perfect for beginners, IMO that is :)
