So we are in our 2nd week of flowering and our plants have grown into the lights. 
This is our first grow so we had not manipulated the branches at all in the vegging process like is recommended.
If I were to try to train the branches now to stay off the lights, how would I go about doing this? And will this cause severe damage to them?
