I'm am old guy, started growing indoors in the early 1980s, I grew one cloned crop for 10 years, back then we didn't even know the names of strains, but I think what I grew then is now called Northern Lights. I was living in Seattle in those days, and everyone I knew that grew, was growing the same plant, smuggled out of the University of Washington by a friend.
Anyway, after a 25 year break, I began growing again indoors as we have an excellent basement space for it. 2 x 1000 watt bulbs in two different rooms. From spring to fall we grow two full crops in soil, sometimes in summer we put plants outside for the veg phase & then bloom inside. The array of modern strains available now is insane & I don't see how anyone can keep track. We grow a mixture of strains rather than a mono-crop, like two or three plants of each type, we like a variety. I do a lot of stress training to control height.
So far we've grown both from seed and clones the following strains, favorites are marked with an *:
White Widow
Durban Poison
Jack Herer*
Purple Kush*
Rainbow Kush
Blue Dream*
Snoop Dream
Cinderella's Dream*
Secret Recipe
Blue Mystic*
White Widow
Chemdawg
Rockstar*
Blue Cinex
This spring we're planting from seed:
Euforia
Pineapple
Rockstar
Mendocino Purps
Blueberry
Heaven's Gate CBD
Blue Mystic
Jack Herer
We also have a few seeds from when a Durban Poison plant went hermaphrodite on us last year and pollinated some adjacent plants - it didn't wreck the crop or anything, just enough to make few seeds. So we have a couple of seeds that are White Widow/Durban cross, and a seed that is a Purple Kush/Durban cross. If viable they could be some interesting hybrids.
