Hello from Missouri

Hello, I would like to introduce myself, give an overview of my plans, and spell out for myself where I am at right now in prepping to cultivate. Cultivation starts ASAP, I'm getting a licensed buddy his first light today or tomorrow as part of a group buy, plan if to not slow down any time soon.

At the least I am looking to get my Missouri medical marijuana patient cultivation permit and do the max of 6 flowering cannabis plants. I could end up doing 18 plants if I end up a caregiver for two other patients. I have a few friends who are already a ways down that road. I would like to help them improve their methods if I can. This seems like a place that is filled with good information after just a couple days of looking around. I had been lurking on International Cannagraphic for a bit, I got here by seeing some of Growmau5's videos where he cites and compliments this site. I am still at the beginning of researching for myself what the current cultivation methods and equipment with proven efficiencies are after getting some basic ideas of what I want to do at IC.

Looking to run LEDs: I'm not sure if I want to build panels, strips, or CoBs; I am currently planning on building at least one of each to see what I like.

Mostly I want to be using framed up rooms. Though some of my friends are in or want tents they're the ones that aren't as interested in maxing out their cards.

Probably get some tables for ergonomics, my grow rooms' ceilings are 9ft tall.

I still need to use the search here on Rollitup to learn some of the following:
-I tend to think I would use some version of high brix/organic nutrients and I am looking for more examples that achieve good results while not over complicating things though. Swirling nutrient teas for a couple days and being able to feed sugar water and nutrients to a symbiotic biological active medium sounds simpler in theory than running saltier nutrients, but I am just getting into the adventures of legal state growing. I also want to help a buddies with their salty fertilizer setups, I don't have much practical knowledge here. I know some about ph adjusting, ratios, feeding schedules, ppm, flushing but don't really have any ideas about examples of proven and current feeding plans that I can adapt.

-I am planning on coco based medium with worm castings/teas and myco powder (WallaceWOW) as a base to add other things to. I've seen a lot of mixes in the organic section at IC and am planning on narrowing down to some that I've seen good results posted online for. Also interested in learning other medium/medium-less setups.

@inDC4now Thanks, glad to be here, I'm finding lots of good information.

@JonathanT Gotta keep up with Oklahoma, they are moving fast over there.

I am not sure if it will get noticed here, but I've got a question about electrical safety and led drivers: How safe are they? 120-240VDC at 2.1-2.8Amps is dangerous right? 56VDC? If so how dangerous are the various common LED drivers? I'm considering electric shock here not fire danger. I tried a bit of searching but didn't find anything about shock/electrocution danger of high voltage LED drivers.

@Herb & Suds Thanks! Nice to be here!

I found some info posted by @freemanjack : "less than 60vdc does not overcome skin resistance so is more or less safe at any amperage, 50v at 100a tickles if yer sweaty, as a welder i should know!! but make that 100vdc at 50a yer in an entirely different ballpark. " There are not very many threads that come up in the LED section when searching "safety".

I didn't find much info google searching "safety led drivers high voltage DC" and such, I am still interested in more thoughts on safety.
