Hey Everyone, After lurking forums for the past few years since I've been growing I figured it's about time I actually joined one and become part of the online community. I've been growing for a little over 2 years, and just recently got hooked up with a delivery service and got my SB420 Exemption. I'm currently only growing a few plants outside while I wait to get some electrical work done on the house before I get production started again.

I'm going to be growing out a crop of White Widow and Snocap, and I can probably do a journal if people are interested. Right now the basic plan is 2 4x8 trays, 50 plants each with < 1 week veg. 3x 600w air-cooled lights over each tray. Sealing off the room, AC + Co2 burner. Plants are in 6" pots and I'll probably make drip rings for irrigation but I'm not positive about that yet. The big question I have right now is what medium to use. I've used clay pellets in a recirculation system in the past but the problem I have is poor water spread within the container. What seems to happen is that water always finds the path of least resistance instead of spreading around the medium.
Right now I'm thinking of either using clay pellets mixed with rockwool cubes, or clay pellets mixed with coco. Another option would be Coco Rocks from Botanicare.
If I use rockwool I'll need to switch to a drain to waste system, which I have less experience with. I'm looking for a medium that will support the fastest metabolism possible in a drip system. Anybody have any opinions or insights? This probably isn't the best place to be asking this question but I'm new here and figured I'd say Hi, ask a question or 2 and wait to see what you all have to say.

peace!
