Hi first time grower an was jus wondering how to get my plants taller I want them at least 5 ft

Well you are already on your way. Those things are already stretching, reaching for light. If you want them even more lanky, deprive them of more light, lol.

Sorry if I sound like a smart ass, I don't get your logic behind this.

Grow them in a big pot for a fair amount of time .

I always use 5 gallon fabric pots.... there great, lots of room for the roots to grow.
