Heat/Venting

I found the specs on that unit on a nother website, and it said that you need to use it near an open window or door because the unit blows hot air out of the back. If you had this in a sealed enviroment it would actually heat it up. If you can rig a vent then that would work, but i would just try to find a small vented unit.

thanks. yea I've decided to put the tent in the basement & just vent it out to there.

Does anyone know of a good UTube video or tutorial for setting up a grow tent like a Darkroom or Grolab & installing all reflectors, inline fans, exhausts, & ducting from scratch?

I was thinking of getting the complete setup from bgh but wouldn't know where to begin when installing and setting up......http://www.bghydro.com/BGH/customkititems.asp?kc=GRGLY080LKIT&eq=

I've found a tut about attatching a canfan to a carbon fillter but i'm clueless from there. I know it's probably easy just been kinda brain dead lately, good tree lol.

Thats alot of money for that tent system. why dont you take the five bills and build your own tent. all you need is 2x3s or 1" pvc/cpvc piping. some black/white plastic and your good to go. you can get all the other accesories for a hell of a lot cheaper. check out htg supply!

I built my own tent out of 1 x 2 lumber. A 6" in line duct fact, some duct tape, 2 6" to 4 " reducers (I already had some felexible duct work in the house) some L brackets, staples and an 8" turbo fan to get fresh air into the tent. I also purchased http://htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=50815 and added 10' X 25' sheet of panda film and a carbon filter and half gallon grow bags and it came to 525 (from HTG) delivered. If I spent 700 all together that was alot. I have some pics if you'd like building the tent is super easy!

yea for handy people, or even for people not as lazy as me lol that would be a good decision to save money. I've heard some things about HTG & their bulbs that aren't really to my liking. But I know the brands that bgh sells (like the Cool Sun HPS system's & accessories) are certified, & warrantied. That's the way I want to go with all my stuff.

However I don't need the tent itself (i have a DR150) just all the accessories for it and the knowledge on how to put it all together.

thanks for the responses
