Heat mat for flowering plants

I've got a heat mat with a thermostat probe in the soil to use for germinating seeds and growing seedlings. Is it OK to keep using this set up during the flowering process instead of using a proper air heater.?it does seem to warm the tent anyway. It's only a small tent and does not need much added heat as the room it's in is usually quite warm anyway.

No point keeping a heating mat after germination. If my tent is 5-10 degress low in winter I add a couple super large CFL bulbs and they work like heater.
