Heat and reflective material plzz help??

Gday!

Im looking for peoples opinions for a heat resistive material such as insulation?
This is because the heat radiating out of the lid of SWIM'S ply wood box is outragous and isn't going to take long until someone touches it as it appears to be a timber blanket box typa thing and then the questions will never end lol...

Any ideas guys?? keeping in mind i've got a few dollars to my name at the moment.

8 bucks fo 24 cans?!? Shit, i'd never be sober. €10 for a pack of anything like budweiser, guiness.... anything you've heard of, round here.

But yeah, op, get the heat out of the box rather than trying to hide the fact it's in there.

It's been ages since i saw anybody 'SWIM'!

Oh 8 bucks for a slab........... It cost like 40-50 bucks for a slab in my country, what fucken rip.......
