Hey everybody, I took an e pill on December 7th of 2009 and had problems ever since. I took five blue stars for the first and last time. I was told it was alright to take them, but i've had non stop problems ever since. My head started convulsing in and out 24/7 for like 5 months straight. It eventually stopped, but i lost partial feeling on the whole left side of my body. It's the most noticeable in my face due to the fact it feels constantly crooked. I had told the doctor about this but he diagnosed me as having bells paulsy. I disagree with that diagnosis because it's not just in my face. Does anybody have any suggestions on what kind of doctor to go to?

You should get a second opinion. I hope that he ruled out a minor stroke. It may or may not have had anything to do with the drug you took, the timing may have been coincidental. A second opinion (or even third opinion) might clear things up or give you confidence in your diagnosis. Remember that doctors are just like the rest of us... they are human, make judgement calls and sometimes are off of their initial diagnosis. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.....

Nothing wrong with getting a second opinion, but at some point you have to trust the doctor. Be honest with him/her. Best way to find out which kind of doctor to go to is to ask a doctor!
The thing of it is that the doctor i go to knows i have cmt(charcot marie tooth). I consider that a predisposed disease because it affects your brain and so does those e pills. It's clear that i have a problem when i have only partial sensation on my left side of my body. Thanks everybody for your help, i didnt know what to do. I'm still kind of confused as to what the best option would be?

This might be my inner conspiracy theorist talking but sometimes people just look like a bunch of money to (some) doctors. The more drugs they push for the drug companies, the more the drug companies pay them. Have they made you adderall dependent or can you just take yourself off of it, and how much does it really help you? That's the important thing man. ADD has to to be by far the most over-diagnosed "mental disorder" out there. Not saying you don't have it, but I'm certainly saying I don't after being told that I do many times and being on every sort of stimulant they prescribe for ADD. fuck that

thats crazy u lost feeling in ur body... i dont know if it was the e pills though... Ive taken 8 pills in a 4 hour period(2 an hour) but i had a crazy tolerance for them back then... If you had no tolerance and just felt like taken 5 ya its possible you may have messed your body up. I would go to a couple doctors and get a few different opinions.. if there is a next time u should probably do no more than 3.. be safe about it bro.

I agree that he needs a good Neurologist.
But it appears, as expensive as they are, they didn't even make the top 5 list here in the uSA.

Adderall is just a remixed batch of amphetamine salts. You should get used to them within a week. If not, then ask your MD about Dexedrine instead. If that doesn't work then Ritalin is a good option for many. Personally, I didn't get much from the Adderall. Ritalin made me sick from a reaction and Dexedrine works great. I'm a few decades older than you, but still get a lot of help from the medication after I took the time to try all three similar medications. Once again, I hope this helps and I wish you well...

Haha. I was just looking at that, but most people attest that neurosurgeons are the highest paid doctors. Either way this is pointless. Different doctors get paid different things. That list has a spinal surgeon at the top, a job that takes a great deal of neurological know-how.

I would think about a second opinion as well. Everyone is different, but I had 11 pills New Years weekend (don't want to hear the lecture. I never plan on doing it again) and I have nothing wrong with me that i can see.
Thanks alot for the opinions. I am going to have to go to a neurologist i concluded. Sorry it took me so long to reply. It's nerve racking trying to get through college and speaking in front of the class when half of my face is numb. It feels like permanent novacaine. i have also had non stop paranoia and anxiety since i took them. I have talked to a few friends that take them and they are just experiencing what i'm feeling after taking them several times when it took me only once. I cannot even go outside in the dark anymore due to fears people follow me. I never had such problems before i took them.
