HB's 3rd run! Headband/WiFi OG - Organic/LED

Hey guys - Finishing up some modifications in the flower room, but this is what I have ready to toss into flower! Doing less plants this run, due to a complication with the clones I was set to get. I may toss these other two in 10s and just include them as well though. I have 2 Headband and 2 WiFi OG. I've made a modified Octopot for this round. Here's the preview.

I'm using Dragonfly Earth Medicine with my own super soil mix that I made sure was properly amended and cooked before planting. The two yellowing plants were in mostly coco. This run came from a synth grower, and I was a bit lazy nursing them back to lush because I was going to use them as mothers. But I've decided otherwise, and now I'm getting them back to healthy and transplanting them into Ocean Forest. IMAG0184.jpg IMAG0186.jpg IMAG0185.jpg

The front (in first pic, right in second) are the WiFi and the others are HB. The two yellowish ones are also WiFi.

So, I cut a hole in the bottom of the fabric pot, put a net pot in there, and packed it with soil. The pot sits on the makeshift table, and a flexible air stone is wrapped around the base of the cup. I fill the saucer with water, and it acts as a wick. The pot never soaks in water, just draws from the exposed soil. If any of my organic matter makes it down, the air stone makes sure nothing goes anaerobic. I've had a constant moisture level in my soil since transplant, perfect damp just under the surface. It only drinks when it dries.

Ive looked at the octopots, the proprietary bags you have to buy at a premium kinda put me off of them. But im very interested in how this works out for you HB.

From what I'm hearing, the cost difference is worth the investment. It's not recommended for organics, because of any tea run off chilling in the res, but that's why I added the airstone. My associate just finished up a run with Octopots and these modified pots (sans air stone) and he was blown away. Both produced comparably. They were running out of food before the end of week 5 in soil mixes that he's been using for quite some time now. Massive stems. Great weight.

I'm stoked. Flipping in the next 48 hours.

One of these days im going to go organic,I consider it my endgame on this horticultural journey:bigjoint:
So, while this is only my third run in a room that I operate myself, I've had my hands in gardens for a few years. Initially, I was around synthetic growers. It didn't seem too difficult, but a few things really turned me off to it. I didn't like the thought of dumping so much soil, trying to figure out who's nutes are the best for which strains, etc etc. Then, I had some other work with a good friend, and he started showing me around his setup. It wasn't long before I was hooked. It just makes sense for me, and what I believe about the herb. I love being able to recycle my soil, I'm on a mission to make a next level super soil. I'll be posting a thread on that when I get the chance. He's the one that got me on these modified Octos. He has nothing but good things to say about the actual Octopot though, and still uses it.

I noticed I am getting a little burning at the tips, but there is so much lush, lime green. The growth tips are exploding right now, and the roots are starting to peek out the bottom of the cup. From what he said, they're probably a week away from almost uncontrollable growth. I need to get them into an area where I can SCROG or Stake them out. I'm thinking of staking the first layer, and then SCROG when the stretch is done. I've been using garden ties as bonsai.

My plants are LOVING this Dragonfly Earth Medicine. If you want an easy, top quality entry into organics, check them out. All veganic and granular, loaded with bennies and innoculants. Sourced from top quality ingredients. A veg blend, flower blend, foilar feed, endo innoculant (mykos), and a humate blend to keep the Cation Exchange Capacity at desirable levels.

IMAG0193.jpg IMAG0195.jpg About to flip. Apparently these both stretch A LOT, so while I'd like to have a bigger canopy, I'm only really concerned about the back right plant. She's just not taking off how I'd like. Lush, green and healthy, yes. But size concerns me. Yield on this run might not be up to par, but I think a bit of it had to do with how I layered the soil (didn't)... Still, I have to push this round out so the next one behind it (2xWiFi 4xSSDD 2xBlack Hole) can get in and done ASAP. These were too developed to mainline, but the next ones will be (have already started, in the solo cups). Still expecting some top quality bud out of this though.

This is as low as the leaves have been pointing since going into flower. Still a lot of praying going on. I dropped a tblspn of DEM Lush Roots into each saucer. Lots of tops, but not many on thick main branches. Not a fan of the growth pattern on these genetics. They just keep shooting out stretchy side growth. My next run that's vegging is being mainlined from the solo cup, these are going to be beastly when I finally do flower them in like 7 weeks....
