having to move an outdoor plant indoor! what LIGHTS!

i have a pretty big indica outside and i just recently learned that i have to move it(a neighbor complained) so i was thinking of putting it inside, its in flower right now so im not so sure about moving it, but i need to know what type of lights i should use and how many. Somebody help me out?????????

It depends where you are going to move it. If you put it in a grow tent thats say 4x4x7 feet, you could use a 400 or 600 watt HPS light.

im going to move it in my house, we have a spare bedroom that's available and it has a pretty good size closet so itll go in there. Where would i get these lights?

Dude that plants georgous but from the size id say anything 250 watt and higher should do unless u pull something off like what I'm doing now I have a 70 watt HPS along with a few 14 watt CFLs but my plants about half the size of yours just throwing some ideas at you

What regimen are you feeding that thing ? It looks textbook! Send me a pm if possible. Always looking for information to pass on to others. As far as what light, since it is in flowering, you want a high pressure sodium light. These lights emit a color spectrum cranking on the yellow-red side and are great for flowering. That plant is quite a bush and I think you will do good letting it have it's own bedroom (that is awesome, a plant that has its own room, lol!). I would say for that plant, look at a 600w light. They do not produce quite the heat a 1000w will put out but they throw a good amount of lumens and you should be able to cool it if the room has a/c just fine.

First of all, there is a wide range/selection/religion/crusade when it comes to which bulb is best and what have you.

The first step is deciding if you want a digital or magnetic ballast. Both work but a magnetic makes a humming noise and does use a little more electricity but they are cheaper and many are sodium specific ballasts or metal hallide. Digital ballasts just detect whichever is in the socket. I recommend digital ballasts always. Quieter, less electricity, and don't weigh a ton.

The second part is your light hood. You have cheaper solutions like bat-wings which are just literally wings of reflective material with a socket for the bulb. Typically these are used in lower wattage scenarios because of heat issues. Higher wattage setups use air cooled hoods and inline fans to keep the heat made from the light out of the area.

For your bulb, I have had a great deal of success using store brand enhanced-spectrum bulbs that I can get for 25-35$ a piece for 600w/1000w high pressure sodium bulbs. If you are on a budget, you will be fine with a cheaper bulb. If you do not mind spending more, just go with a Hortilux Super HPS. Great bulb.

With wing (non-active cooling) || For air cooled, at the bottom, you can pick your hood. If you do get a hood, you will need to cool it with an inline fan and ducting that matches the hood. 6" in most cases. I chose this site because you can see the different bulbs, hoods, etc.. If you look around, you can find things individually cheaper. This is not a bad deal though.
