Have you ever had to stop growing for an extended time period?

Have you ever had to stop growing for a legit reason? How long did you stop growing for and how was it? Thankfully I don’t have any medical problems and grow only for personal consumption. My ex gf moved out and I gotta find a roommate. It’s kind of a shitty situation, but the 2nd shower isn’t working so they’d have to use the shower in my room. Aside from them seeing the tent it’s a huge invasion of privacy. I’ll be putting a room divider behind the entrance to my bathroom so they can’t see my room. Obviously my roommate would need to be, 420 friendly and my house doesn’t smell because of the carbon filter. This is just disappointing because I love growing so much, even more than consuming it. Anybody have any suggestions?

When you grow pot, the only problem you have is growing pot.

This quote brought to you by Orange tree, a nice sativa. :bigjoint:
I haven't grown since the beginning of covid due to health it is more demanding then an ex wife!
So I just save myself the disappointment and get my meds from friends and strangers, (Some old guy came into the cafe and offered the waitress about 2 oz she said "I don't partake but Grandpapy over there does.")

Could you switch rooms, and let them have the ensuite and you get a locking door? Or is it a much smaller second bedroom.
yeah they’re not getting my room. I think regardless if I’m growing weed or microgreens I’m going to keep that tent up. It’s a bitch to put everything back, plus an impetus to get back to growing. I’ve got two strains in the clone room, and now that I got a connect to elite strains (could be knock off’s) I want to keep them. I think I’m considering the worst scenarios, I just don’t like people knowing that I grow. I’ve met growers where I live (prohibition-land) and I don’t get their contact info… but that’s just good manners too

If they're splitting costs with you, you might be able to find someone willing to front that repair cost or a chunk of it (so they can shit'n'shower in peace when they move in) then not pay, or pay minimally for a few months.

Regardless of the solution, hopefully you can keep your grow up! It's so soothing.

Have you considered setting the spare bed & bath up as a profitable small scale microgreen farm? If you had the extra time anyway. Could probably fit 10 racks in there, and pump out an extra 100 or so trays per week! Step dad probably doesn't wanna deal with replacing the shower anyway, so have the rent decreased a little each month if you can make a deal? Well, usually landlords are responsible, but maybe not in your case..

Could set up a nice big standalone deep sink right, right over top of the bad shower pan, and run the drain pipe down directly into the existing drain bulkhead. The pipe should sleeve right in, and make for a nice wash station. Or, if the whole shower needs to be replaced anyway, you could turn that part of the bathroom into a temporary DIY walk in cooler, using foam panels & spray insulation as a box, with a window AC through an opening. Modded with a "coolbot" device, so it achieves lower temps than normal inside the space. Then you could store lots of produce until it needs to be delivered, keeping the greens all nice and fresh.

Oh yes I have thought about this, it’s partly why I started growing microgreens. I want to start slow, get a handle on it then I can upscale. Problem is I don’t have a car, thankfully I have a company car. If I could get buyers I could totally do it. I don’t know the market here and there are microgreen vendors at farmers markets. I’m just not in a place to start a small business. My background is in Agriculture and I used to manage a small farm. It’d be a profitable side gig so I can get my ass back to school to finish my degree in Ag Science
