So one day I was given a seed and decided to plant it just to see if it would grow and guess what it grew and it’s still going
And honestly it has grown on me
I’ve gotten super interested in these plants
Only problem is the internet has some many methods idk what is what
Im not taking this one very specific since things are pretty expensive And I’m sure I’d kill the plants
Anyways I wanted to ask how can I grow something decent and on a budget
Outside preferably in pots
What soil never fails
Cheapest best water
Vitamins that don’t require to much specific measurements
These are the 2 I have growing one is always outside just water daily nothing more
The smaller one is inside I just randomly take it out and put it inside
What can you guys point out by just looking at these pictures image.jpgimage.jpg

Stop watering so much. Overwatering kills more plants of every sort than anything else. They look good so far.

Use fabric bags. Never plastic. Any fertilizer for vegetables works. Including the old turquoise crystals of Miracle Gro. Always start at 50% or less than the suggested mix. If the instructions say 1 tablespoon per gallon use 1.5 teaspoons.

Cheapest productive lights are still HID. HPS works all the way through. No need for metal halide.

wtg man, nice work so far.........fabic bag work, plastic pots work too just make sure they drain good...

as for lighting , sunlight is always the best hands down, if you can pickup some cheep led bulbs with the covers off at 5k lighting (sunlight) they work great for veg, i did a single plant with one bulb like that. Nutes for me are subjective cause i really don't use them. I make my own soils, but if you want look for a good tomato fert and use like Hotrod said above....

watch the watering, that one is over watered big time.....

I use nothing but plastic pots when not growing outdoors. Absolutely NOTHING wrong with using plastic pots as long as they have drain holes in the bottom. And, as MANY on here say, and anyone who has used it will also say, stay away from Miracle Grow as it is far too hot for MJ plants. NOTHING beats sunlight and rainwater as you can see by the difference in the indoor versus outdoor plants, so if you can keep them outside safely, do so.

Excellent advice to grow rootbound plants.

So explain to me how using growbags, with no drainage holes will be any different than a plastic pot of the same size, that does have drain holes. Again, the holes are simply to allow excess water and/or nutrients to drain so as to not drown the roots. Just curious on your theory that plastic somehow will make plants rootbound as opposed to bags or clay pots or any other container.

Look up “air pruning” that will answer your question

Something didn’t seem right about it
I literally just leave it outside and let nature do it’s job And just water it soil looks dry
But I’ll be sure to water it less
The one inside is the one I want to focus on a little more
When should I change the pot

always ck weight before you water ok on that big one.....pick it up now it will prolly feel heavy wait a couple of day u will feel it lightening up a bit ok....water is one of the biggest mistakes for a new grower ok....

your second one, give it a couple of more node, wait till its dry before you pot up for no lost soil....then put it in the same size pot the other is if you got one, alot of the times i'll add soil to the new pot i'm using then put the little one it this way it gives me the right hole diameter for transplant....just be gentle when you do it....

Still at it huh Hot rod...ain't nothing wrong with plastic...it's recyclable

As for you, go back and try again...I use/used plastic pots, CFLs (now 1000w HPS), and Miracle grow...and have never had a problem, just can't start beans in the shit...
And I got proof if y'all need it

I have used buckets. I have 20 stacked outside. Where they'll stay unless I run out of bags.

90% of the indoor growers on here use plastic pots with no problem. Top-of-the-line growers all over the world grow in plastic pots. There is absolutely no reason to avoid plastic pots. Yes, fabric pots/smart pots do have their advantages if you are trying to achieve a certain thing. But they have disadvantages in other cases. For instance, you can't make a hempy bucket with a fabric pot, unless it's inside an external reservoir of some kind
