Took the clippings from my harvest and soaked them in isopropyl alcohol. Forgot that it was 50/50 which sucks, but water evaporates too. I soaked all my plant matter in the alcohol for about a week, shaking it up every now and then. I strained it out and put the liquid outside to evaporate.
It doesn't seem to be evaporating though. It want down maybe 1 cm in a week outside (too cold? new england) in a bowl about 2 in deep and about 5-6 inches diameter. A good amount, but even three weeks later it has still hardly evaporated. It no longer smells of alcohol, but is very watery and dark.
My boyfriend finally got impatient and decided to mess with it. He got it warm with indirect heat, but then ended up getting something in the liquid, and poured most of it out. He did, however, scrape the bottom of the container and got a *very very* sticky (like glue, seriously) small ball of resin looking stuff.
The alcohol wasn't denatured, and it basically sat untouched for weeks. Is this hash or similar? Safe to smoke? It looks fun, and bubbles a little when I heat it up.
