Hello, new to the board and new to growing. This is the situation. I grew 2 Auto Bruce Banner and 2 Auto Black Sugar, only 1 made it. The Black sugar is a dwarf strain and stated by seed bank as only 20” tall. I did LST using pipe cleaners and I made the plant grow horizontally which created multiple colas and multiple bud sites. I had to do a heavy defoliation on all the plants especially the black sugar because there was zero light penetrating to the many lower bud sites. After I defoliated I realized the error of my newbie ways and noticed I forgot to remove the pipe cleaners and the plant grew into it and around it and in some cases engulfed most of it and it looks like as a defense mechanism it created new colas in and around the pipe cleaner. I thought it was going to sever the branch but the branch adapted and grew over it.
Now the seed bank claims 8-10 weeks, I’m over 8.5 weeks now and have been using AN micro/bloom/grow, some voodoo juice at the appropriate times and CalMag and am in my second week of BidBud and I’m ready to switch the Bruce Banners to Overdrive but the Black sugar is still all white pistils. Is this because there was no light getting through the canopy? (Using 2 mars hydro TS1000)
So is that plant behind from a budding standpoint because of the lack of light, and, did the LST training which ended up turning into some form of BDSM high stress training set the plant back?
Another concern of mine is, is the plant being poisoned by having that pipe cleaner inside of it probably rusting?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I will add photos if I can.
