harvesting question ????

hi all
im 4and a half weeks into flowering and i will soon be coming to the end of my process. the question is as i look at my plant the top buds seem alot more mature than the lower 1s. when i harvest my plant could i take off the top parts and then lower the light giving bottom bud a few more days extra growth or do i have to just cut the lot down. any replys would be very helpful thanx

im pretty sure you could do this. you should give your plants around 8 weeks to finish up completly before taking the head off of her. and when you do this keep an eye on her and if she begins to die i guess all you can do is harvest the rest.......

thats the way alot of us do it, just snip the top mature colas then harvest again in 1-2 weeks when the popcorns and secondary buds are ready. if u leave a small amount of leaves and bud on you can put it under 24/0 and switch to veg nutes and then re-flower it or use it as a mother to make clones
