harvest yield

Hey all,

So ive decided to run my own grow op and was confused to see a few different things, i noticed on the plant strain " critical kush " that there is a yield of 750 gr/m2 but in a video i saw of someone harvesting 10 plants they only had 350 grams.

I was wondering that if the actual yield in bud would be 750 gr/m2 or is that the total yield of the plant ( stalks & leaves included )

If someone has some information about this confusion it would be great use because i might have to re organise my whole operation other wise.

Your final yield depends on a lot more then just the strain. Lights, grow medium training techniques all sortsa shit.

So ya wanna grow? first thing I would suggest is buy a book. I have several book from several different authors and this wealth of knowledge has really helped me develop my own style of growing. Don't fool yourself by thinking you can learn to be a master from reading forums. A lot of the time people tell you stuff that is just flat out wrong. or maybe not good for your personal style.

Ok but about the genetics and yield estimates. When you see something like 750 gr/m2 be very skeptical because this is most likely not what you will see in your fist grow.
I have never grown Critical Kush but I did plant a single seed once out of a batch of free ones and it was the only seed that didn't sprout. Not that that says anything about the strain.

Typically when a strains projected yield is 600-800 gr/m2 it is considered high yielding. But I really don't pay much attention to gr/m2 (grams per square meter) because I grow very big plants but very few of them. And the gr/m2 equation is supposedly something they came up with in Holland for growing Sea of Green style.

If you haven't spent any money yet it's a good idea to take your time to plan and educate yourself before hand otherwise you will have problems.

If you have spent money and went ahead and got yourself set up then that's ok but make sure you make the most of what you have.

What lights and wattage per square meter are you planning on using?
