Harvest Time?...Need Help Please

Ok, I've been growing this plant foralmost 4 months now. It's at the end of its 8th flowering week. All the fan leaves have fallen off or are about to fall off; the leaves starting turning yellow at about the 5 1/2 week mark in flowering. The plant is growing under a 150watt HPS w/ eight 26watt cfls (2700k) surrounding the sides. It's in a 12" pot in soil, and about 40" tall. And I've used Earth Juice (grow, catalyst, and bloom) as directed on their site. I've been flushing for the past week with water and molasses.

My problem is they are supposed to be harvested tomorrow, but all the trichomes are still clear and some cloudy. Pretty much all of the pistils have turned pink/purple and are still healthy.

My question is: Since it basically has no more leaves, will the buds reach full maturity (ripeness) getting half amber trichomes if I just leave it in the cycle. Or is the THC production pretty much over once the leaves are gone? Any help is appreciated.

Nice looking plant. Me, I'd wait. You need some amber trichomes. Some say you need to wait until the edges of your bud leaves look amber to the naked eye. The edges is where you can see the trichomes the easiest. Keep flushing, though.

forget about when it's supposed to be done and go by the trichomes.
Let it go for another week or so ad don't forget to flush.

Great looking plant bro, good job! I'd leave it until the trichomes changed to amber 40-60%! Not sure on the yield, mabey 4 oz! Make sure u post some harvest pics! Good luck bro!

Yes, they'll continue to ripen w/o many leaves.
I'd add 1TB molasses to any further waterings, which could fatten them buds up.

Thanks for the responses guys. It's my first grow, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I planted 4 seeds from a random sac of some good. Not sure what strains it is, but the pistils a bright pink and purple. Pretty cool, I had never seen pink pistils on weed before. The 4 seeds cam out to be 3 hermies and a lady. So, I thought fuck the others, I'd rather have one fat lady. Thanks again.

wow man, nice buds, that thing is MASSIVe, pretty cool with the pink pistils and such, ive never seen anything like that either. haha maybe u made a new breed. that would be pretty rockin, u should think about cloning that thing when u harvest

I didn't know you could clone when you harvest. I thought you could only clone during veg. How would it work?

I think he means to re-veg it,then make some clones.To re-veg,just leave a healthy lower portion of your plant and throw back into 24/7 until it starts to grow new growth.Then make some clones and keep the strain going.

So, instead of cutting the whole branch and hanging it, just cut the buds off. What if there's no foliage left. And would I need to give it nutes?

Just leave a lower small bud site.It will have a few small leafs still.Cut everything else.Then put back into 24/7,after a week or so you should see new growth.Now start feeding again and you should have another plant in a few weeks to take clones from.
