A few questions as this is my first time growing. It's trickier then I thought...being stealth, not letting the plants as I'm outdoor container growing dehydrate and trying to get the rabbits to not eat the plants....
First Question: (keep in mind I'm growing in containers outside - small containers biggest being 1.5 gallons...
1) there are two plants in the attached pictures. The first one looks like it's getting pretty close to ready, any ideas? I don't have a magnifying glass to really check. You can zoom into the pictures a bit. Is it ready to sample a tiny piece?
The second plant in the other two pictures to me looks less ready because it doesn't have amber but it hasn't changed size for a while now so I'm not sure. It's in a tiny pot but I'm pretty sure you aren't supposed to switch pots when flowering right?
2) I have a big plant, about 6 feet super silver haze growing in a 1.5 gallon container, very small! It isn't flowering yet so can I transplant? Also what size do I transplant into? I'm worried that if the pot is too big it will struggle to fill it. It has been growing for about 2.5 months.
3) I had some branches chewed off from rabbits when some of the plants were being to flower I used the shake to make coconut oil but it doesn't seem effective. Is using plant material at beginning of fruiting stage useless and only good at the end of the stages? That would make sense why the oil is useless. I plan to run more product through the same oil to increase potency. Good idea or bad? Is it bad to reheat old oil. I will keep it in a pot at low heat...
4) lastly... I would like to try a sample in a few days. Which part of the plant do I pick from and how much damage will I do by not waiting till it's complete? Which plant would you pick from from the pictures. Below?
I understand it needs time to dry out... Would decarboxylating a small piece at 220 Fahrenheit in the oven do the trick just for sampling purposes?
One more question! If I'm growing in small pots will the whole process be quicker then other since the plant would be forced to end it's vegetative state sooner?
Thank you everyone! Doing my best to learn here
