My babies have been flowering for 7 weeks now. I have a small problem about harvest though. I am going to have to go out of town for thanksgiving weekend. So I can either chop and hang to dry the day before i leave or wait to chop em until i get back. If I were to hang them the day before would they be okay to leave for 3 or 4 days? But if i wait to chop them they will be 11 weeks flowering. And i would chop a week before i leave but i cant bring them with me for the curing process. I think they will need atleast 9 or 10 weeks to finish. What should I do? Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated. And the pics are at about 6 weeks flowering by the way.

By the time its Thanks giving weekend i think theyll look pretty good to chop for 10 weeks. But i dont know if theyll be quite ready, i say to jus wait and see to make that decision. what you growin?

It should be fine to chop and leave them so long as your temps are reasonable and there's a fan to push air around.

Yeah, wait till it's closer to the time you have to leave to make a decision, hard to make a judgment call a month out.

I would wait until the last possible moment, then cut them. They may not be to their full potential but if you leave them growing while you are out of town, is there going to be anyone to watch them? They would be fine drying for a few days without supervision, but if you leave them without being tended to they could be dead by the time you get back....damn, that's a tough call, good luck with that one!

Thanks for all the advice. Not sure what it is...just a couple bagseeds. Do you think that the buds will be past their prime if i wait to chop until i get back? They will be almost 11 weeks flowering. Thanks again. I'll be sure to watch em closely as the time gets closer.

The only way to tell for sure is to look at the trichs. If at least 25% are cloudy then you can harvest, however some people like to wait until they see 50% cloudy and some turning amber.

Most sativa strains will be ready within 10 weeks.
