Harvest or not to harvest

Newbie here needs some advice. History: I posted here on 7/26 for help on sexing and thanks to this forum I was successful! All sexy ladies. I started them in my south facing sloarium and transfered them outside mid to late may, I think. They went through some nasty weather mostly high winds and lived, thrived really. They would blow violently and when they were bigger would actually blow over in the pots. This is a rathere dry arid desert and the bugs seem to be minimal. Acutally it seems if bugs moved in predetors were right behind them until a month after the solstice then no bugs at all. I'm very pleased about this cause I really only have maybe a $100 into everything and not pestisides etc. I do have it hooked up to a timer and on a drip system and if anything probably over watered most of the time.

So now I need help leading up to harvest.

I want to harvest early rather than late for the more "crisp" high as all this will be my personal stash over the winter and hopefully to next harvest. Thank you Jesus! From what I have read harvesting later is a more "stoney" high I would be happy in between or err on the early harvest. Thes pics are today 9/22 and should not freeze around here for another month. Also I have cut the water back and now supplementing every other day with "Age Old Bloom" nutrients.

So my question is when? Now? Two weeks? Let the hairs (pistels) brown 50 percent? Watch the trichomes till the just go opaque? (this is maybe too technical for me?)

Thanks in advance.
