Harvest + Nanners question pls help

Hello all.

I've been away for 2 weeks, asked a friend to water my plants. Upon my return I noticed nanners on my buds. There were none when I left.

Plant is Kaboom by Kannabia. 8 and a half weeks of flower.
Nanners could be a mix of factors, surely I fucked up because Kannabia's genetics should be good.

My questions are, how longer do you reckon till harvest?

And should I wait till harvest? Or should I just cut it off as is?

I tried plucking nanners off but they are so tiny and hidden in places, it's a huge pain in the ass.

I've only got the mother and the clone in the tent, both went bananas, so pollinating other plants is not an issue. I'll just have to carefully wash the tent for my next grow.

Any help would be appreciated. If you need more pics/infos just ask. Thank you.

Just my 2p, the plant is too late into flower to develop seed, they don't look like they have far to go I'd let them run.
A bit of stress shouldn't hermie a stable genetics I don't think.
Thanks for the reply mate!

Some seeds here and there wouldn't have mattered a lot to me, but thanks for letting me know, it's a relief.

They suffered nutrient burn before I went away. Told my friend to flush those 2 weeks to cleanse the soil but maybe it was wayyy too hot anyways.

I just want them to have a nice finish and hopefully I'll learn from my mistakes :)

Has the extra heat been a factor for you? Even so, star dog.s right, it shouldn’t bother good genetix. you say the mother and clones, how old is the cut they originated from? Or is this a fresh grow from seed?

So you have 3 weeks roughly till harvest, keep an eye on them and keep on tweezering the manners out, it’s a labor of love, but worth it To avoid seeds iniiating.
did your friend mess up at all whilst you were away? Maybe lights on to take a peek at them. Still with good genetix shouldn’t make too much difference. Good luck with those tweezers

Heat has definitely gone up. I keep an air conditioner in the room at 22°C/71.6°F, but temp in the tent tends to stay at about 27°C/80.6°F.

Mother is a total of 22, almost 23 weeks old from sprout. Kept her longer in veg ( outside of tent ), cus tent was full.

I took the clone when the mother was about 12 weeks old. So clone should be about 11 weeks old from cut.

It could be a posibility. He only came to water them, showed him how to pH it correctly. 6.5 pH, about 150 ppm.

He knows nothing about growing, so it could be that he peekd but I'm not sure. Light schedule is 8am-8pm , he watered them around 6pm so it shouldn't have caused light stress.

I don't want to ask him this stuff, I could come up as "bossy", and if it weren't for him thel plants would have been dead so I'm not mad at all.

Could be he didn't water them well/often enough. When I came back soil was rock hard.

Leaves were droopy but looks like they came right up over the night.

Could have been a further stress factor nevertheless.

I had an eleven roses that nannered around week 5 of flower.

Didn’t find a single seed in over 4oz of bud even though I let them ride and didn’t pluck them out.

Usually plucking can create the spread of whatever pollen is there within them anyway I find.

My lazy ass thanx you for that info too. if i remember, plants that have nanners as aposed to flowers are less likely to polinate themselves. could have mis remenbered.

Don’t get me wrong I’ve had it happen a couple of times with some strains. Usually the “newer” crosses or breeders etc.

I too remember reading that nanners late in flower are sometimes inert but tbh unless I’m creating some seeds (which I don’t) I don’t bother testing the theory lol so I just let it ride out.

When it’s clusters of male flowers hanging from a bract area I’ve had seeds localised to that area if I didn’t see it etc again with newer genetics or newer breeders I’ve had this happen (attitude freebies etc)

That’s not to say it’s all set in stone though lol.
