Hey everybody i just pick up this meter. I am having problems what should tap waters ph be at? my meter is reading 8.1 also my ppm in tap is around 120 but it gets higher when i use a pur carbon filter gets to around 250 is this reading accurately?? Total newbie question sorry i feel like a dummy lol

Every single person's tap water will be different from yours in pH and in ppm. Yours will differ throughout the seasons as well. My tap currently is 7.8 and 150. In summer it is more 8.0 and 275. Your filtered water shouldn't be higher than your tap though. Did you calibrate your meter first?
