OK,
I brought these seeds from Turkey. They're most probably afgan (or may be lebanese...). Anyway, it's the seeds from a very potent smoke we had in Turkey, not feminized or anything. This is my first grow. I'm kind of messing with it, will be happy if I can yield anything at all.
This is a closet grow (approx. 2 ft x 3 ft x 5 ft). I'm living in a foreign country and do not have command in local language, so it was kind of difficult to get all the supplies I needed. I was unable to get any HPS for instance, I had to opt to two 70w MH (instead of a 400 w HPS that I's willing to buy). Bulbs and ballasts were ridiculously expensive. I could buy two 400 w HPS ligts for the money I paid for these two 70 MHs. But I'm happy I was at all able to get these anyway.
I begun germinating in late january, planted first seedlings in Feb 1st. Most of them died. Only 3 remains from the first germination, and one of them is too behind (too smaller than the other two) so I germinated some more seeds a few weeks ago. So right now, I have three plants 30 days in to veg and 7 plants approx. 7 days in to veg. Eventually (after sexing), I am aiming to get 4 females out of these ten plants.
Because of difference in age, I am planning to sex older plants by removing them from grow room early each day (effectively putting them in 12/12). After 2 - 3 weeks, If they're males, they go to garbage, if they're female, I'll put them together with the rest of the plants and continue 12/12.
Two larger ones were fimmed (using M Blaze's fim technique) successfully. I'm waiting another week to fim weakest of older plants and it'll be about 2 or 3 weeks before I fim 7 younger plants.
Discoloration / white areas on leaves are due to foilar feeding. Some of older leaves are burnt (either because I watered them tap water or too much / too early nutes). I suspect nutes because I always let the water sit a few days before watering plants. Also there is too much calc in water here. Perhaps it is due to excessive calc levels???
Soil is 6.0 - 6.5 ph (can't remember the brand). I maintain the grow cabinet temperature at 25 celsius (77 fahrenheit). Don't even check humidity Mist / Foilar feed them every night before lights out (18 hour on to 6 hour off btw).
All comments / hints are appreciated.
