Guys Buying Girls Drinks

This thread was inspired by my Saturday night, going out drinking with the girls. I had absolutely no money, so at first all my drinks were bought for me by my friends. Then guys wanted to start buying us drinks. But here's the thing...

Personally, when a guy offers to buy me a drink, I take it as...an expression of interest (not really sure how else to put it). To me, accepting the drink expresses interest BACK, or at least encourages the guy. So I just don't feel right accepting drinks from guys I know I have no interest in, or if I have a boyfriend at the time. Because it feels like leading them on.

The girls I was with that night ALL have boyfriends (one has a husband) and one has a kid with her boyfriend. So they are all very unavailable, and I know none of them had any intention of cheating. They just wanted the free drinks, and they thought these nice guys just wanted to buy them for them, just because.

So my question to the guys is...what DOES it mean when you buy a girl a drink? If you knew a girl had no interest in you, or had a boyfriend, would you still spend your whole night buying her drinks?

And to the girls...when a guy offers to buys you drinks, do you accept even if you have no interest?

buying a girl a drink is defiantly a way of showing your interested. i really dont like the mentality of women who go out expecting to get things for free.

Psh, I buy no one nothing. It's obvious what it means to offer and accept a drink. Your friends are assholes, plain and simple, just cliche girls in my eyes. Always misleading some guys. It's probable 1 of them was one the most honest guy you'd ever meet.

If a guy had any brain he'd go to a bar alone. Order some drinks, watch TV, talk to the bartender and not ONCE look at any girl in the bar. I swear, some chick sitting somewhere will be so god damn aggravated that you're paying no attention to her that she'll curiously come to you and ask your deal, see if you have a ring or something. Works like a charmy charm.

Buying a girl drinks your not intrested in is like buying a guy drinks..

I never buy girl's drinks. Just for that reason. They usually just take it. Maybe I'm ugly?

I have never bought a girl I dont know a drink in a bar. What does it say about you, have some class ffs. Picking up girls in your local meat market is only going to bring one thing and its not sirloin or Fillet, yep thats right skirt!!!

Never bought a girl a drink unless I was already dating her.

I pretty much have to agree with you on the first part, because I thought it wasn't cool to be doing that. As for the second part...If it works, why not?

I raaaarely buy women drinks. Most of them expect free drinks just because they have a goddamn pussy, and I know a lot that go out with next to no money because they know their going to get freebies all night long.

Plus I'm not a little bitch, I don't get suckered into that kind of thing. I really hate when women kind of expect guys to buy them drinks. Fuck that noise.

And yeah, if I do buy a girl a drink it means I am interested. And if she accepts it then I take it that she is too.

I can NEVER turn down an offer to smoke, it's against my religion.

But how do I take it? That seems like it would just lead to a more awkward situation, like when he tries moving in closer cuz I gave him a sign that I'm interested by taking the drink.

I just want to know, because I really have no interest in being a bitch to a guy who had the balls to offer me a drink. I'm not out to humiliate him or make him feel bad, just to be honest without having to be BRUTALLY honest.

That's exactly what I think! So do you think it would be nicer if a girl just accepted a drink rather than turning you down, to spare your feelings?

And guys, what about girls buying you drinks? Have you ever had a girl offer to buy you a drink?

Usually I would offer to buy a girl a drink because i'm interested in them but sometimes I'll just tell the bartender "get that girl or those girls over there a drink but wait till I go back to my table so i don't look like a stalker" just to be nice. if they see me some other time and remember and think "hey theres that guy that bought us a drink but didn't try to chat us up. Seems nice. Maybe i'll go over and talk to him" It's all good.

So, If i buy you a drink and then talk to you for a half hour i'm interested. If i buy you a drink and wonder off to my friends without ever looking back i'm just being a randomly nice guy.

Now if I meet a girl at a bar and I'm talking with the girl the whole night dancing ect than yeah probaly get her a drink.


The girl is either going to dig you or not getting her a drink aint going to up your chances or anything

o patron..... its too pricey and tequila dose bad things to me. but it is a good tequila. dont call me a gwedo, but my favorite drink i a jager bomb. or the same concept as a jager bomb, but with mikes harder lemonade instead of redbull and vodka instead of jagermiester

Well to be fair, If I offer and she tells me she has a bf or whatever I don't get mad, generally I just insist she take the drink. I just cut my losses and move on.

If a girl buys me drinks I generally accept and talk to them. But If I'm not interested I always let them know one way or another....to be honest though its rare for girls to buy a guy drinks unless she is a friend or really interested. Which is why I do the exact same thing.

The dating scene is so lopsided in the woman's favor anyways, which is why I don't think girls are as generous.

See, to me, THAT makes sense. When I've been talking to the same guy all night, and we've been dancing and what not, and THEN he offers to buy me a drink, I feel way more comfortable accepting it.

I have NEVER asked a guy to buy me a drink, and I don't know that I could. It's a bit too presumptuous for my taste.

Tequila is my drink! Jose Cuervo is a friend of mine, but Patron is like his smoother older brother who can have me ANYTIME

I HATE jager And oh man, this past Saturday we kept doing "red bombs" or whatever, where it's a shot of vodka in the middle of a bigger shot of redbull...fucking DISGUST (but I pounded'em ) I HATE redbull, and vodka is definitely NOT my drink.
