I am going to start an ebb/flood system and am debating on a lighting sytem for the bud room. i will be veggin under 400wMH w/ 6" vented hood. My Q is would it be more productive to run 2 600W lights in a single 20x30 sealed 6" vented hood on a 6ft rail using both Super eye MH and HPS bulbs ultimatly creating 1200w of power and alot more lumens.........would you get as dense of buds w/ this method useing to seperate spectrum lower wattages but creating more watts/per than a 1000w single super blue hortilux bulb that run ya $220. and i was wondering if anyone has seen or used a growzilla hood i really like it. hydroasis has one for a good price. BTW i will be using a dual enclosed 600w digital lumitek ballast. and the ballast will not be in the rooms so ima have to run long sockets like 25ft. thanks for your input.

they say the 600w is the most economical (Jorge Cervantes) I'd go with the dual 600w Specially if you got the 6ft to hang em side by side.

would it be better to run 2 HPS or mix w/ a MH i know you will get more of a full spectrum. but will it cause the plants to stretch more?

and i wonder if you used 2 1000w in that hood would you produce just dense rock hard buds? provided you did everything else correct. i will deff try it if my first couple go well.

so now hydroasis is telling me he thinks i'm not supposed to use a MH of equal wattage so go 600hps 400mh........i think he is a va JJ and not thinking positivly. haha what do you guys think would it interfear? do i want more of a Red spectrum like in an all HPS garden. and what do you think of mounting T-5 bulbs around and under the plants for more light coverage? in addation to mylar

Ya id go with the 2 600 watters more lumens more light spread since thers 2 outputs and ur gonna have dual spectrum plants will get the benefits of both lights , and if u want ur plants to all be the same rotate ur ballasts from right to left avery week , Gl on ur grow .

i am planning a 4x8 flood table my dual 600w will be on a 6ft rail.....do you want slower movement on the rail? like i've seen 4, 6, and 10rpm motors my friend has a couple old set ups i'm gettin for a good price but if he doesn't have the right speed mover i will replace it. what do you think? if it moves faster could i have the light closer? it is a 6" ducted hood. has anyone ever recieved good clones in the mail?

Go with the highest wattage MH and HPS you can... why in the world would someone want less light? As for the light mover, I believe a higher speed would be better so that less heat would build up in one spot(I hear some plants suffer from 'heat waves' under a light mover)

2-600's will give you the most bang, the growzilla hoods are crap because the light is to close together, go with seperate hoods and use the 2 600's

another option would be 2 430's they are super efficient also like the 600. not sure of there lumen output.. but i know its good for its size and two in the same hood could open up a whole new realm of options.. 860 watts
