Do outside plants continue to grow in height and overall size during flowering or do they do most of there growing during veg

Typically, plants will add between 6-18in in flower depending on a few variables. (i.e. Environmental conditions, genetics, etc). This goes for photoperiod plants, I believe autos are similar but may not experience as much growth/stretch during flower. Long story short, all plants will grow during flower.

they will grow vigorously in veg, then when flowering starts it will accelerate for 3 to 4 weeks. After flower stretch it will slow but continue to grow.

This is a very general statement tho, some steains do weird shit.
