Growtents

1.What size grow tent would I need to grow 4 Plants.
2.And also Should it be made out of Mylar.
3. How much light should I get to put in it.

1) be safe

2) For a grow tent I would go with 40x40x80(inches). If you're looking to buy a grow tent, check out HOMEBOX.net. The "HOMEBOX L" would be your best bet.

3) I suggest a 400w HPS with cooltube. Tents can get hot, even with good ventillation. The cooltube will keep temps down and protect your plants from stress.

4) Mylar is great. Avoid PVC - same say direct exposure to hot lights may cause it to give off toxic fumes to your plants. I no scientist - so I just choose to avoid PVC to be safe.

5) DO LOTS OF RESEARCH AND MAKE A BUDGET BEFORE YOU START - it will save you lots of time and headache in the long run

1. I have a 24x24x55 grow tent with 4 plants in it, working well so far.
2. Yes, or a similar highly reflective material.
3. I'm using 8 42w CFL's, 2 per plant and it's working great so far.

I'm sure in a tent this size you could use a 250 or even 400w HPS if you had adequate ventilation.
