Growlush Digital Ballast 400W, Periodicity making a POP/BAM noise.

as the title says my grow lush 400w ballast is making a fairly loud POP/Bam Type of Noise, roughly every 2 minutes x.x amount of seconds.is kind of worrying i have no idea if its electrical or if its meant to make that noise for whatever reason, please help take some stress away, should i take it for repairs or its meant to make a noise every 2 minutes.


P.S its an energy saving 400w digital ballast. first time use. never been used in a grow.using a PowerPlant SUPERHPS 400W also first time use.

yo help us out im not sure what to do,all the New threads are getting their questions answerd.

I have 6 ballasts and none of them make those sounds. You should return it or have it checked out/repaired.

I would try a different outlet and then replace the ballast if that does not work. Try a different bulb to rule out it not being a bad bulb as well.

i have not tried a different wall socket i shall when its lights off time., it will not run a MH bolb either kind (retro) and the newer one, runs all hps just fine. if it continues tomorrow i shall take it the repair place, thanks for the helpful information, btw running a 6" cooltube no ducting or fans (setup for the cooltube) at this moment but i do have one on the seedlings keeping any extra heat off them and adding strength to stems/growth, tho my temps are fine i believe, 42% humidity and temp is running at around 28-29 degree's at the moment , ( keep in mind im using the dim able switch its on 75%) out of ( 50% 75% 100%, and Super lumen's )
