now this is a bit of a stange one, but i went down to my local garden center today ans i found a almost pot that grows tomatoes upside down, i know the guy that works there and he is a fellow grower and he said that it could be used for mj, and that it would help keep her healthy, optimise nute intake and produce bigger yeilds, does anyone have any info on this, the guy is pretry crazt but normally knows what he is talking about, his bud evidenting this, has anyone tryed this method ?

Tomatoes are heavy vines and naturally grow like that. Cannabis won't. I'm giving my expert opinion as someone who has been in the green industry for twenty years. Now I've never done it or wanted to nor do I know anyone who has. So is it possible? I don't think so but I'm not saying it hasn't been done just that the plant would be a freak show. And I'm 100% sure the claim that's it's a bigger yielder is total bs.

why not try a side by side comparison.... or in this case a bottom to bottom comparison

seems the pix aren't uploaded in the link, but if you go to google and put in, topsy turvy, rolliup, there are tons of hits.. :D
yep, the ol' topsy turvey... great for maters... not excellent for pot (unless you're trying to hang it in a tree). the tree thing is supposed to be stealthy, but i don't think i'd miss a hanging plant in the trees...

pot will always attempt to grow skyward, and as the buds gain weight, they'll pull and fall down. i never thought this was a good idea...

just my pair of pennies though :)

I'm still working on perfecting the normal vertical grow and run into issues. Lets make it harder. Are you an engineer sir?

yes, phototropism is a very powerful thing, therefore the plants will always want to grow towards the sun..

i thought he was yanking my chain, i know that mj always grows vertical but from what he was saying it was bloody convincing, ima go down there and try to convince him to do a upside down grow of his own, just threw curiosity to see what happens..... hay not gonna be my mj on the line, thanks guys, think i dodged a bullet.

Actually a person in my area just got busted with a wheel. The difference being the plant even when upside down is growing towards the light. Does it work for pot? Hell I dont have 15,000 for the one thats for sale in the hydro store here to try lol.
