growing medium and nutes

Hey guys hows it going? I was just a lurker until now... I have been interested in growing for quite some time now. I have been growing veggies outdoors for 4 years now, so I have a limited amount of gardening experience in general. I have been researching like a mad man, and reading many threads and grow journals on this great site. I am looking forward to starting my first grow as soon as I get moved into my house. One of the main things I have been considering is my growing medium. I think I would like to use some coco for my first time, and I'm looking at the organic canna coco. This is what brings up some questions for me as far as organic and chem nutes. I like the ease of using chemical ferts, but I also like to use compost tea ( i use both on my tomatoes.) Will using chemical nutes counteract the use of the organic tea? Will the salts kill the microbes? I am wanting to use Jacks classics because of the great price and from reading some of riddlemes posts about it. That brings up another question.. Do other nutes work well with coco or is it best to use the expensive Canna nutrient line? Sorry about all the mixed questions, but it seems like the more I research the more questions I have. If someone thinks it would be best to start with a different medium I am open to all advice. It will be several months before I start anything anyhow.

I am planning on growing under a 400w CMH... maybe two.

i think coco ROCKS!!!!

Dont have to worry about overwatering it will release what it cant hold i use it just like soil only i load the coco with a week EC0.3 before planting . then pretty much just feed feed feed feed if you get nute burn back off the EC or flush with a lower EC .

I use GROWTH TECHNOLOGY IONIC COCO GROW / BLOOM / BOOST

7GBP per litre
added at around 7ml per litre
