I am not a full newbie but using coco i am fairly new i have tryed it this last run on a scrog i used ocean forest and mixed some compost and alil lime in with some stove ash and used the coco stuff just coir.

Dident end up with a whole lot i did 3 plants under a 400w and some side lighting i barely broke 2 oz's with one plant i dident really feed with anything during veg sep alil gauno and some big bloom like 3 times. i dident have anything else so i tryed to skim by. i am sure the ph of the soil mix was alil off too cuz i had burnt tips aswell .

My guess would be that once the nutes from the fox farm soil got used up all the plants where starving prolly for n. either way alot of the foliage curled up and fell off had hardly any butter leaves.

So this time i was thinking to go with just straight fox farm soil no coco. But i ended up getting some just coir and a bag of fox farm i figured maybe i shouldent give up on it yet.

My plan is to mix 50/50 soil/coco is this a bad idea??? should i use more soil???

I also picked up a bottle of grow big for nutes however i could have bought a product called general hydrophonics but i dont know much about it or how to use that.

I am unsure if grow big will even work good with a soil/coco mixture but i figured since i dident have any nutes hardly the last time that i should get some for every stage so i was gonna try the trio Grow big Tiger bloom and Big bloom.

I have herd of making teas of some sort but i dont have a brewer or know anything about making them but from what i have herd they are made from natural stuff.

I also realize 400w is not that much light barely enough for one plant so i had planned to upgrade to a 1000w

a 2 and 1/2 zip average per plant isnt too great considering if you try 2 that brings you at 2-3 zips between 2 plants. I am allowed to do 6 plants.

Anyways i just need to make sure that my mix will be fed good enough to get big strong healthy plants based on a 50/50 mixture again i am not sure on the best mix ratio of soil to coco 50/50 is what i used before anyone can chime in.

what I am saying is I don't know anything about teas. I bought some liquid nutes but don't know how good if at all they will work in a 50/50 soil coco mix.

What I was trying to say is would the nutes I have be enough to work and make them not starve.
