i'm going to be growing one south african durban poison x skunk #1, and a handful of california orange seeds. but i just sprouted my durban poison seed. it's been about 3 days. let's just hope it's a female. the pictures are day 1, 2, and 3, respectively. i'm going to be growing inside for a while, but eventually put them outdoors. i was wondering, does anyone know when is the youngest it will be okay to start low-stress training the plant?

it's been a week and the last few days i haven't seen any significant growth. is there a reason for this?

***edit: or maybe i'm just too impatient...

hehehe. Patience! Once you get out of the seedling stage, it'll grow like weed!
Make sure you are PHing your water. I suspect my seedling batch is suffering from PH related nute lock out. I'm testing this morning.

Cheers!

Hey man,

I don't do any training to my plants until they show me their sex. Dude, anything you do to them before they show sex could cause them to either become male or female, depending what you do to them. I think i sent you alot of info about how to get more females in a previous post. Buy a moisture meter--there like $15 and a ph meter and check these two factors regularly (usually new growers problems). Physologically, the plant is developing it's root system now and NOT producing vegatative growth. The little tap root has to grow first before u will see massive veg. growth. Be patient man--that's the best advice I can give u, u can very easily love these plants to death.

i feel like i don't wanna spend any more money since i see green. haha. stupid philosophy maybe, but i'm such a stoner when it comes to all those little gadgets and shit. getting a light timer was a big deal to me. lol.

it's been growing for over two weeks now. the 3rd and 4th leaves are coming out nice. sprouted 3 more california orange's. i've been asking about this strain but nobody has seemed to grow it. we'll see how they turn out. they germinated better than the skunk (3 of 4; skunk: 1 of 3). so i guess i should change the title of this grow journal to " growing durban poison x skunk #1 & california orange"

ok, just so u know. If you leave a plant inside and then take it outside later, you will have to acclimate it to the sun because it is sooo much brighter than any light. maybe leave a semitransparent tarp over them the first few days they are outside.
