grow upside down like the tomatoe plants?

i was wondering your alls opinion about this. has anyone ever tried growing a plant upside down like in those commercials? i have a friend who wants to try it with some cfl's. he's got a couple just started under fluro's. anyone got any input or advice let me know.

i cant remember where i seen this but it didnt work idk i think it would be cool to try myself! all i can say is good luck lol

i've grown tomatos this way, it was a great conversation piece but not much of a producer
